For those of us who speak English, I have uploaded a reasonably high quality version of Miranda's segment of this movie complete with subtitles so you can understand whats going on. Quite an emotional little film and the narration/direction etc. seems very clinical, which IMHO increases the emotion. ANyway, if you'd like to check it out, the link to download it is:- rapidshare.com/files/15503213/bastille.avi.htmlThe file is about 35Mb Enjoy!

I'm interested in knowing what 'extras' there are on the UK DVD of 'Wah-Wah' (and any other country come to that), as the ones on the (very expensive) Australian release are mainly interviews of Richard E Grant when he visited Australia for the film promotion. I'll consider buying one from the UK if the extras are better (particularly if they feature more Miranda!)

Bugger.....
All right, the boards are all now restricted to posting by registered members only

Not much we can do directly about the spam poster. Since I'm pretty certain its an automated posting, I've set up a dummy thread for it to post to, which should remove it from this thread at least. The other option is to make the board members only, which is very tempting. Anyone have any opinions on this?

Thanks for all the birthday wishes I had a Miranda element to the day by going to see 'Wah Wah' (finally) at the cinema, and I was also given the 'Wah Wah Diaries' as a present. A very nice day (and having next week off work helps too!)

Okay, the appeal is now live! Thanks to Rita Oh Yes, for setting up the special 50th Birthday page, we now have have a mechanism for giving Miranda a birthday present for her 50th in March. For anyone who hasn't read the earlier posts (last year), we want to make a single contribution to one of Miranda's favourite organisations, the WSPA in her name as a birthday present. Each donor has the option of including a personal birthday greeting message. I have been in touch with the lovely lady at the WSPA who has been so helpful before, and she is very pleased with the idea, and has offered to ensure that Miranda is aware of the birthday donation from us, and will pass on to her our personal greeting messages that are recorded with the donations. There is now a link on the main website page to take you to the donation page - (but if you want a direct link, it is www.bmycharity.com/V2/mirandabirthday ) Please note that the donation must be made via a card - this has to be a credit card for non-UK residents. UK residents can use Switch, Solo etc. to debit against their bank account. I realise this will knock out some people who do not have cards - still thinking about that one. Anyway, please donate toward Miranda's present if you can - however much you can afford, any donation, small or large will be welcome. Any queries should be directed to 'Rita Oh Yes' or myself. Clive

Looks like its geo-fenced as I can't get it either. Must be a UK only video again.... (whatever happened to the internet being global? )

I had a press release from WSPA that Miranda has done her trip to Sri Lanka and I have a video and HQ pic of her trip. ============================================ ACTRESS MIRANDA RICHARDSON SPEAKS ABOUT HER RECENT VISIT TO SRI LANKA FOR ANIMAL CHARITY WSPA DATE AVAILABLE: Wed 12th December 2007 WEB VIDEO: Available free of charge and free from copyright restrictions. Wed 12th December 2007: Acclaimed Oscar-nominated actress Miranda Richardson speaks about her trip to Sri Lanka earlier this month for the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA), to witness their animal welfare work with stray dogs. Miranda, a dog owner herself and a committed supporter of WSPA, visited a mobile clinic set up in an underprivileged area of Colombo to see first-hand the work that they do. She also visited the coastal region of Hikkaduwa south of Colombo, which was devastated by the Boxing Day tsunami three years ago, and met locals whose dogs were helped by the Blue Paw Trust in the aftermath. This emotive webvideo shows the conditions in which many dogs are forced to live in Sri Lanka, and the pioneering work of the Blue Paw Trust and WSPA vets to both help these animals, as well as help the local communities. ============================================= The video is starting to pop up on a couple of sites, and I will put an embedded version on the website soon. If you want to see the higher resolution version (WMV format), and the picture, try these links: - www.miranda-richardson.com/1506_wspa_web_video.wmvwww.miranda-richardson.com/miranda%20richardsonstill.JPGPreview of the HQ

I've managed to get a copy of the segment that Miranda was in for Loose Women. It only lasts a few minutes. Check out Interesting Things later today
