Could we please try and cut down on some of these exchanges and bring these threads back on topic - alternatively move these conversations to 'General Insanity' or PM.

This popped up in a web alert today - it shows that Miranda is in Paris and definitely not in Mumbai.....
Martin Marfiela, the reclusive Belgian designer, may be fashion's "international man of mystery" but there were no secrets in his autumn/winter collection at the Paris prêt-à-porter season yesterday. Martin Marfiela: enigmatic character, bold designs Margiela, who has never been knowingly photographed and never gives interviews, offered a big, bright and bold collection that emphasized the upper body with "coat-hanger shoulders" and outlined the hips in body suits that tapered from thigh to knee, leaving the remainder of the leg to be encased in boots, veiled in tulle or shod in silvered and fluorescent leather.
The collection explored a modern and graphic shape through circular and triangular forms. This translated as pink and lime "hoops" of shocking-pink, padded rabbit fur or neon-yellow, shaggy goat hair which were looped around the shoulders like inflated inner tubes. Cashmere "ropes" in fluorescent hues and padded tulle embroidered with sequins and beads were worn as oversized necklaces or scarves over long, tight, stretch dresses which turned into catsuits from the back.
Tunics featured strangely pointed "epaulettes" like an alien version of Joan Collins' jackets in Dynasty. The conceptual creativity almost overshadowed the fact the pieces were highly wearable, albeit not for the faint-hearted, when jackets sometimes featured one lapel, trousers merged into half-toga skirts and loose, shawl-collared trenchcoats thinly-disguised as shirts.
Miranda Richardson, the British actress who has been buying Margiela's clothes for 17 years, was a front row guest. "I love his clothes because they are eclectic. They don't look like anyone else's," she said, before disappearing backstage.

No its rubbish... Someone put it up on the IMDB a few years ago - it was deleted soon after, but presumably some people picked up on it and it resurfaces every so often.

Thanks goddessqueen for the pics - and we're all envious of you.... Thanks also to whoever capped the 'Provoked' pictures from the video, I've added them to the gallery too.

The VV pics from the filming will be up on the site gallery on Monday - unfortunately they were too large for the gallery software to handle, so I had to reduce the size a bit, but they are still brilliant!

Last major stage show was Wallace Shawns 'Aunt Dan and Lemon' in 1999, and her most celebrated stage appearance was the one-woman show of 'Orlando' at Edinburgh in 1996. There is a page on the site for stage work www.miranda-richardson.com/mrstage.htmlthe link is at the bottom of the main page, and in the left margin on all other pages. Also a page of stage pictures www.miranda-richardson.com/mrpics-01.htmlAunt Dan & Lemon was performed less than a year after the site launched, and when there were a lot less people on the iinternet. I had emails from 2 people who met Miranda after the show - one at the stage door and one at the bar. THe person at the stage door asked for an got an autograph, but was refused a photo, she said Miranda looked tired and drained. The person in the bar said that Miranda signed her programme, but seemed a bit prickly about it and definitely wanted to be left alone. After the event, Blue Juice productions allowed me to put some thumbnail pictures on the site, which can be seen on the picture page above.

I buckled and got a copy the other day. Thankfully I was prewarned from your posts - the Australian version sounds exactly the same. Its disappointing though to see the 'Eros' watermark on screen during the movie - I'm getting (reluctantly) used to all the TV stations having a contiinual onscreen watermark, but I hope this is not start of a trend for DVD's. I've paid for it - it should be the best quality, and so I don't need a graphic to tell me which company got my money! And it is NTSC format, which I guess the majority of Australian TV and DVD players can play, but it is a lower quality picture. And the other nag is the extras, for which you have to plod through what seems like hours of Bollywood trailers and promo for the company - which can't be skipped - to get to the special features. I actually quite like a lot of Bollywood films, and have a lot of admiration for Aishwarya Rai, but the Eros promos were overkill and put you off more than anything. And...Provoked really isn;t a Bollywood film, so the audience demographic for their advertising is wrong. NB I also bought a copy of 'Devdas' a couple of weeks ago. This is my favourite 'Bollywood' film (I don't really like the term 'Bollywood' as it conjures up a specific type of movie - ie colourful happy song and dance etc.). 'Devdas' is a dark and at times depressing drama of personal and class conflicts - some song and dance routines, but mainly in context of the story, brilliantly acted (Aishwarya again). It was recently released in Australia as a deluxe 2 disc set - by Eros... And again, the Eros logo plastered all over the picture, NTSC format, and lots of unskippable Eros self-congratulatory promos. I really hope that no other DVD companies decide to copy this authoring method.

Just found out that the DVD of 'Provoked' is available for hire at my local video store in Australia, and available for purchase (at least online). The purchase price is very high, and the description on the cover doesn't make me want to purchase it - it is an 'all region', American (NTSC) format, 'bare-bones' release (i.e. only contains the movie), and doesn't even seem to be in widescreen. It is distributed by Eros. So does anyone own (or has rented) a copy of either the American or UK (or any other country really) - I'm interested in knowing what extras any of them have, format etc., as it may be more worthwhiile for me to purchase it from overseas (or Ebay!).

Can you let us know who you pre-ordered it from, and what the release date is? None of my usual UK online stores has it listed.
