I ran the site as webmaster for 20 years, and closed it down as I thought I had given it enough time (and money). I asked for people to take it over for 9 months before I closed it but no-one showed an interest. So I just it lapse and it finally disappeared about a year ago. I'd love to see it come back too, but it won;t be me running it. Clive

Thanks Sir Edmund. I've also had a couple of niggling doubts about the validity of the twitter and instagram accounts. Theres a couple of hashtags that don't ring true. But I'm still hopeful they're genuine, and will keep following just in case. The website was fun to do while it lasted, but 20 years is a long time, and I think I'd given it as much as I could. Maybe someone else will start another more technically up-to-date site to replace it...

Zoë Wanamaker, Miranda Richardson and Phyllis Logan lead an all-star cast in Kay Mellor’s brand new ITV drama Girlfriends Brand new ITV drama Girlfriends - from the pen of BAFTA award-winning screenwriter Kay Mellor and starring Zoë Wanamaker (Mr Selfridge, Agatha Christie’s Poirot, My Family, Gormenghast, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone), Miranda Richardson (Mapp & Lucia, And Then There Were None, Churchill, iBoy) and Phyllis Logan (The Good Karma Hospital, Downton Abbey) - starts filming next month produced by Rollem Productions. Girlfriends is a contemporary story of Linda, Sue and Gail as they struggle with the responsibilities that come with being a modern woman of a certain age. After the dramatic and sudden death of Linda’s husband Micky, childhood friends Linda (Phyllis Logan), Sue (Miranda Richardson) and Gail (Zoë Wanamaker) find themselves back together again. Each has their own problems to face; from a looming divorce from the husband she still loves and the loss of a high-powered job through age discrimination, to juggling the endless responsibilities of their grandchildren and aging mothers. Girlfriends is a contemporary story about friends, family, responsibilities and the inevitable changes that age brings... But true friendship remains the same no matter how many years have passed.
There are 6 episodes in the series and it will screen in 2018.

From Variety : -
Miranda Richardson and Clancy Brown have joined Jake Gyllenhaal and Tatiana Maslany in Lionsgate’s Boston Marathon bombing movie “Stronger,” with production starting this week in Boston.
Gyllenhaal stars as Jeff Bauman, while Maslany plays his girlfriend Erin Hurley. Brown (“Hail, Caesar!”) will portray Bauman’s father.
The film is a production of Lionsgate’s Summit Entertainment label, Mandeville Films, Bold Films and Nine Stories. It’s Gyllenhaal’s first production under his Nine Stories banner.
Inspired by a true story and based on the New York Times bestseller by Jeff Bauman and Bret Witter, the film stars Gyllenhaal as the working-class Boston man whose iconic photo from the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing gained worldwide notice.

Miranda has been cast in another new film, 'iBoy', which also stars Bill Milner, Maisie Williams and Rory Kinnear. Milner plays Tom, whose average teenage existence is turned on its head when a violent encounter with local thugs leaves fragments of his shattered smartphone embedded in his brain. He wakes from a coma to discover that returning to normal teenage life is impossible because he has developed a strange set of superpowers. Not sure of Miranda's role yet.

Miranda has been cast as Clementine Churchill in a new biopic about the wartime leader. Brian Cox will play Churchill and Stanley Tucci will play Eisenhower. Set across the five days before D-Day in 1944, the film charts the tension between the British PM and the Allied leaders, including Eisenhower and Montgomery, who are poised to launch the invasion of Nazi-occupied Europe. Exhausted by years of war, Churchill is terrified of repeating the disastrous Gallipoli landings of the First World War, but gains strength from his brilliant wife Clementine.
