I've never seen Merlin, but it's repeated on the Hallmark channel every couple of months. I keep missing it when it's on. As I've mentioned before, Merlin's Apprentance became the victim of my mum trying to work the DVD recorder.

I've never seen the script (can it be found online?), but I'm def. sure the books were written after the film was out *strangles german translator for crappy translation*

I've seen Merlin first, but I didn't know who Miranda was at the moment. The first movie wich made me love Miranda was Spider. I think that's the best Miranda's performance. I was very impressed by Miss Richardson since this movie. I am sure that those who don't know Miranda very well havn't noticed that Yvonne and the Spider's mother are played by the same actress. She's just amazing. I like her work, but I particulary admire her in this movie, even if Yvonne is disgusting and hateful. Unfortunately, Blackadder is not on french TV, and I had to wait until this year to discover it (I live and study in Bristol, England now, wich is easier to buy this). I love this serie, and the childish Queenie is one of the best parts. I bought a couple of DVD. I particulary like Back and Forth (thanks, english people to mock us, french people, ALL THE TIME.... it's interesting to see what you think of us ). In France we've got a serie called Kamelott and wich is a bit similar to Blackadder. It tells he legend of King Arthur, but in a french way, and.... with french humour. That's very good (not even because it's french ). If you can undestand french very well, try to watch it, u won't regret.

Yes, I totally agree with you; Mrs Cleg/Yvonne is the most brilhant work I ever see in a movie! I know that Spider is a difficult movie, but I liked very much and Miranda's performance takes the breath to anyone!

yes, Morgause, Spider is a dificult movie but that's exactly why it is such an interesting movie. I am just fed up with these many american craps we see at cinema nowaday. Fortunately they are few interesting directors left, who can make clever movies. Thank you gods of arts I like your pseudo Morgause, and I like the character it refers to

Malin...What are your opinions on French movies? I love them....my fave French actresses are Isabelle Huppert, Vanessa Paradis, Marian Cotillard and Emmanuelle Beart.
Especially Isabelle, she rocks my world. I've always considered her the 'French Miranda'!!
Agree too about Spider...I was amazed both at the film and at Miranda's performances.

I'm happy to see that some people like our cinema Yes, I think we've got some very good directors and some very good movies. Oh QueenOfTheDance!!!! Isabelle Huppert is my very favorite french actress too!!! I understand what you mean by 'french Miranda', Isabelle Hupert doesn't mind playing very difficult characters, in difficult movies. That's why she is a good actress, she dares, and she does her job well. Moreover we don't see her in commercial craps Which Mademoiselle Huppert's movies are your favorites? I like '8 femmes', and I thought that 'La Pianiste' was very interesting. I liked Vanessa Paradis is 'Noces Blanches' and in 'Elisa', and you? I don't like Emmanuelle Beart in all her movies but she was great in 'Manon des Sources'. Have you seen 'Jeux interdits' with Brigitte Fossey? It's an old movie but I think it's the best french movie. It tells the story of two children during the 2nd world war, who play dangerously but with innocence with death. It's a very touching movie, a masterpiece. You live in the UK? When I'll come back to England we could meet up the, I'll live in South too. I like Porsmouth since I read 'Les Trois Mousquetaires" when I was a teenager xxx

*is jealous because I haven't seen Spider yet*
I really want to see it now! *vows to look around HMV* I should watch more films, really, but I've never been much of a film viewer (except when Miranda's in it or it's fantasy).

Oh yes Himiko, watch Spider, you won't regret it. Miranda is amazing, and Ralph Fiennes. It's not a fun movie you'll see with friends before going out but it's very interesting and very disturbing.

Not really a problem- I hardly ever go out, being practically surgically attached to the computer and all.

Loads of people seem to have been introduced to the wonderful world of Miranda through "Merlin". What an intro, though!
