My first official Miranda movie was The Phantom of the Opera but my real first was Merlin too. Lol, to confusing! When I was 10 years old, I spent one afternoon in my grandparents' home. I didn't have nothing to do so I turn on the TV and for my happiness it was passing a magnificent british miniserie. My grandparent and I passed all afternoon watching that and I completly fell in love with that. But I didn't see the name of the miniserie so I passed years and years watching all the movies about King Arthur that TV showed but I never find Merlin (It never pass again in portuguese TV). So, when I saw The Phantom of the Opera I liked so much Madam Giry that I started to search everything about the wonderful actress who played her and I found Clive's site. And, for my big surprise, I saw the pictures of Merlin and I realized that it's was the miniserie I was looking for years! I was so happy that I order it from UK immediately. Since then, I watch it over and over again!

Definitely! It's just something about Queen Mab that fascinates us weirdos obviously... xxx Well, she is a fascinating character.

Phantom of the Opera made me an extremely dedicated fan, but I figured out that the first one I actually saw would have been Merlin.

I've not seen Tom and Viv either. It's on my list of ones to track down, along with Damage and Dance With A Stranger. Isn't it terrible that I've not seen any of them?

Well you could look at it as terrible, but I look at it as that you have such an amazing experience to come!! When you guys see these films, you must review!! I live for reviews!! I think I wrote a long old gushy review about Damage at one point on here, I'll try and find it sometime... xxxxxxxx

I managed to find Tom & Viv on amazon.com. I can find most Miranda movies there, it's just a matter of earning the money to buy them, as my mom won't. Reasonable, I suppose. I still have to see Dance with a Stranger and Damage. And lots of other ones...but I get to see Wah-Wah on Monday night so I've been running around the house like a spastic maniac.

I envy all you brit and american guys. german amazon does not have half as ay Miranda-movies. and why is it that they're all expensive as hell?

Because decent stuff is expensive. Crap stuff, for whatever reason, seems to be rather cheap. I purchased the "Nightwish: End of an Era" DVD yesterday *dies of happiness* ad it cost £20. Most other music DVDs were about £5-10 cheaper. Also, lots of Miranda-films aren't that mainstream, therefore they're harder to locate, therefore shops don't get them in as muc, therefore, high prices.
