Personally, I kind of like Twilight. It most certainly isn't in the same league as Harry Potter, but it isn't completley horrible. My biggest problem with it is the three main characters: Bella, Edward, and Jacob. Bella is a whiny and codependant Mary Sue who can't blow her nose without her vampire boyfriend around. Edward is a moody sparkling control freak who watches a girl sleep (and removes the gas from said girl's car so she can't see her best friend). Jacob is a whiny crybaby who claims he loves Bella but can't stand to see her happy with Edward. AND I hate Kristen Stewart and Taylor Launter in the movie. Stewart really needs some facial expressions and Launter needs to stop taking off his shirt every ten minutes (we get it, you've got ab's). Rob Pattinson was okay, I didn't mind him.
I did, however, love almost all the other characters. Alice was probably my favorite, because she was so sweet and adorable, yet not afraid to beat the crap out of those who threaten her family. The rest of the Cullens are great too, even cynical Rosalie. I am also completley in love with the Volturi, especially Jane (who reminds me of Bellatrix Lestrange). The wolves are okay, but it's a little creepy that they fall in love with toddlers. Heck, I even thought Victoria was cool.
Bookwise, I liked the first and the third, but hated the second and the fourth. Like others have said, the fourth was like a really long and bad fanfiction. And in the second, I had just about enough of Bella's whining and her treating her friends so horribly. At least one and three had action.
So there were things I liked about Twilight, and things that drove me crazy, but I still like it okay. But it would've been loads better if Bella had more of a backbone and Edward and Jacob weren't so abusive.
P.S. Did you know Miranda likes Twilight? She'd Team Edward.

Yes, she is supposed to pretty dark, like Iracebeth. I once read that Mirana is supposed to be like the caption if a Happy Bunny sticker: Cute but Psycho. Things even out. I think that defenitly describes Mirana. And by the way she talks, and her slightly mad personality, she sort of reminds me of a darker Luna Lovegood. All the more reason she was my favorite.

It is a really close call for me but . . . . I'd have to say I prefer Miranda's Queen by just a hair. Don't get me wrong, I adore Helena's Red Queen to death, but I thought Miranda's was more enjoyable to watch. Granted, they are completly different types of characters, with Miranda's being funnier and more obnoxious than evil, and Helena's being quite a bit darker, but more insecure. I will say that Helena's Red Queen is much more developed and less one dimmensional than Miranda's. But what breaks the tie for me is how much more upfront Miranda's Queen is. She speaks her mind and doesn't care what those around her think (her telling the Knave 'you're and idiot' point blank comes to mind). As for costuming . . . I can't decide. I loved both.
HOWEVER, I think I preferred Anne Hathaway's White Queen to both Miranda and Helena's Queens. I though her portayl of Mirana was simply amazing and her Queen was my favorite in the new Alice in Wonderland.

Oh I love a good insane happy rant. Count me in. I think Miranda's amazingness (is that even a word? Well now it is) is just something that cannot be explained.

I suppose I better introduce myself: I am elspeththequeen, but a lot of people at school call me Rita after Rita Skeeter. I have been a Miranda fan for almost three years now, after being introduced to her talent in Phantom of the Opera and she is my favorite actress (though I also like Bernadette Peters and Helena Bonham Carter). Where I live, I seem to be the only one who even knows who Miranda is besides my very awesome speech teacher. I am a huge fantasy adventure fan, and I usually side with the 'villain' of the story. I absolutley adore Queen Mab and her Old Ways, and Queenie is like my fictional best friend. I am also obsessed with Harry Potter (hence the nickname Rita) and I think personality-wise I am like a mix between Luna Lovegood and Hermione Granger.
There is probably more I could say, but I can't think of anything else at the present moment. Aw well.
