I don't watch Doctor Who myself, but my friend loves it and has been trying to get me to watch for some time. I'm going to get around to it though . . . But my parents are the same way!! Like whenever I mention Miranda I have to say 'Madame Giry' or 'Rita Skeeter' and while they think it's strange, they do respect my fanatical love for it. . . I am a bit lucky that they know Helena Bonham Carter. My mom likes her and thinks she's pretty.

Oh my goodness I adore Helena!! I will admit I loved her longer than I loved Miranda (and they're probably tied), ever since I saw her in Sweeney Todd. Nellie Lovett was seriously the first fictional character I ever truly adored. And I've loved everything I've seen her ever since. Harry Potter, Merlin, Twelfth Night, King's Speech, and of course Sweeney Todd are my personal faves but if anyone's ever heard of the movie Heart of Me. . . that one's probably a little more special. I got it during kind of a dark point in our family's life and while it kind of hit below the belt, Helena was so amazing in it that loved it more than I probably should have. She's just so pretty and quirky and unique and down to earth and . . . and and and I just love her, okay? Oh and has anyone seen her in Dark Shadows yet? She's fantastic in that as always.

Lol Karen would totally win! And I got this very strange visual of her getting drunk with Edmund and singing a rendition of 'See the Little Goblin' with him . . .

So we can still post fanfics here right? I have one I was thinking of posting, and it's probably in the 'T' rated range. There is no real explicit sex situations (maybe some innuendo, but not a lot) and there will be some fantasy violence but nothing too graphic. I hope it's not a silly question, but I thought it would be safe to check.

Ooh the vid was really cool!! I liked it a lot. I loved Stable Boy, probably the best episode I've seen. I probably would have watched it more, but I got obsessed with this other show. . . Lol I could totally see Karen draining Regina's cider supply. And I sort of see Karen insulting Emma's clothes the way she insults Grace's. Oooh you know who Karen's ancestor could be?? Queenie from Blackadder! They're both quite spoiled and *slightly* bratty, they both have a servant (Nursie and Rosario) who they insult all the time, AND they both have squeaky high pitched voices! Can you imagine what Karen in the Blackadder world would be like?? Himiko: My Dad watches Game of Thrones and I had no idea Guinevere was in it! That's so cool! I don't know much about it myself but I do love Arya Stark.

Um . . that's kind of hard to say, because in some cases like Elspeth and Queenie, I am in denial and like to pretend they didn't happen. I guess Mab. . . I love it because of how powerful it was. . . and I hate it because . . . well Mab freakin dies!

And Elspeth dies. . . and all three of her Blackadder characters die (Queenie is killed by Ludvig, Amy was hanged, and Nurse Mary was killed execution style)
Oh and to name another few where she doesn't die: Fred Claus, Harry Potter, Prince and Me, Phantom of the Opera

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet!! Now that school is out, I'll have time to watch the last few episodes (I am seriously behind, it's not even funny) Oh and to answer your question from a billion years ago, yes I would love to see that video. I know right? I have an idea for a crossover story where Jack and Karen go to Storybrooke to visit Regina.

Oh yeah I do remember someone mentioning that on here. I agree with you, she might not have seen Dance with a Stranger, and even if she did so what if she didn't like it? It personally wasn't my favorite thing in the world (Miranda was good in it, mind you, I just didn't care for the movie itself). And who says CZJ couldn't pull off Ruth Ellis? Though you're right about people getting defensive. I have a friend who you don't even want to think about saying bad things about this game called Kingdom Hearts in Front of. On a lighter note: Did you see CZJ is going to be in Rock of Ages? I am a huge classic rock fan so I'm really excited to see how it will turn out.

They are!! And apparently they're actual pictures people found. . .
We had a similar conversation in our English class too! It was mainly because our school wouldn't let us watch the newer version of the movie and we were upset about it.
I love it's connections with Adam and Eve! I've always loved that story.

Oh my god Lana's acting in Stable Boy took my breath away! Like that last scene where she finds out what Little Snow did, she went through like 17 different emotions in a matter of 30 seconds. Or her delivery of the line "I should have let her die on that horse!" I can't even. . . . Bailee Madison was soo cute as little Snow and her resemblance to Ginnifer Goodwin was uncanny in just about every aspect! Oh and this is a random OT comment: but I think that Regina and Karen from Will and Grace could be sisters. They look so much alike, they have the similar mother situations AND similar father situations . . . I dunno, just my weird imagination at work.

I'd love to know too. I mean, Miranda's my homegirl, always will be, but I love Catherine. Chicago is one of my favorite movies and CZJ's the best part in it. I mean, it sucks that Miranda hasn't won an Oscar yet, but that doesn't mean Catherine (or Renee) were not deserving of theirs. Velma Kelly was a complex and layered character and Catherine nailed her in acting, singing, and dancing-wise perfectly. And not trying to be provocative, but a really early post about tension between Catherine and Renee and how they were less good at hiding it than Miranda and Jeremy in Damage: Renee and Catherine's characters did NOT like each other. That was one of the points of the entire movie. I don't know about any supposed tension off screen, but on screen that tension was supposed to be there and they did a fantastic job portraying it. And Catherine dancing like an elephant? To each there own, but I say she was really good. I mean it's not like a delicate graceful ballet or anything but Velma wasn't a ballerina. She was a vaudeville performer and Catherine was just doing the dance of the times (1920's jazz) and in the 'I Can't Do it Alone' scene she's not supposed to be amazing; she was dancing a two woman show by herself in an act of desperation. And singing and dancing DO qualify as acting, what do you suppose opera singers and ballerinas do? In fact I'd say they are more talented in some cases, because they can convey their emotions in song and dance as opposed to words. Sorry about my Chicago and Catherine rant, and I'm not trying to be mean, it's just that I love Chicago and Catherine, and even if I didn't, I wouldn't want to see them get hated on. Of course everyone has a right to their own opinion, and this is mine. Logically, if you were going to hate someone for robbing Miranda, wouldn't it be Marisa Tomei, who beat Miranda for the Oscar in 1992 undeserving?

Lol that's awesome! You really should check out the works of Katharine, Madeline, and Mary, they are really impressive (if you had to pick one for each I reccomend Lion in Winter for Kate, Battlestar Galactica or Dances with Wolves for Mary, and Clue or Young Frankenstein for Madeline)
I'm so in love with Lana too (and Megan Mullally quite a bit)!! She is so impossibly gorgeous and her acting is brilliant! I thought the episode 'Stable Boy' with her crazy b**** of a mother and cute child (SNITCH) Snow White really showcased her talents.

So far it's really interesting and spooky, and there are even these really cool and eerily creepy vintage pictures every so often of the children in this 'home', like a little girl in a crown levitating, a picture of a suit with a body minus the head, these two little boys wearing creepy clown costumes, etc. Some are really hard to explain, more something you have to see.
I personally loved Lord of the Flies, though I will admit that it was sometimes hard to read. I will admit the chapter where they beat Simon to death chanting about the beast kind of freaked me out a little bit (and I was the one reading aloud). But I liked the symbolism a lot, and how it reminded me of The Hunger Games

Ooh, I'll have to check those out. Right now I'm reading this book I just found at the bookstore, after a particularly desperate attempt to find something new to read called Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. It's a young adult horror/thriller about a young boy who finds an abandoned home in Wales that he discovers may have been for psychopathic children. And in school we just finished reading Lord of the Flies by William Golding.
