I think girls are more bitchy than boys, but I do know a lot of boys that are just as bitchy as girls. Most of my friends are boys, but I quite like it, as I find girls tend to make big dramas out of trivial things, whereas guys just get on with life.

I love Helen too! Yes she was playing Bellatrix. Charles II is amazing...what a cast...Rupert Graves, Rufus Sewell, Helen..... I've actually met Helen...she was with Damian Lewis when I went to meet him after a play he was in...she was ever so beautiful... Oh,tell me smth elseeeeeee!!PlEaSe=))))) Oh babe, I wish I had more to tell! I'm afraid at the time I was a little too entranced by Damian, and it was only a few months afterwards that I watched Charles II and found out she was fabulous! But I did say hi and she smiled with a smile that lit up her face. Just remember her being quite small and radiantly beautiful. *** Damn good points Mick btw! I thank God everyday i was born female!! xxx

I don't blame you, my lovely - I'm afraid to say that my species can be pretty boring.
I've always been very individualistic - possibly as a result of being an only child. But my son - even with the muscular dystrophy - is the same - very strong minded , not willing to bend to the will of the crowd, as it were......
Everyone says he gets it from me, though my wife is principled as well.
Take the World Cup : football . Men are supposed to all love football. I don't know whether it's the hype or whatever, but it's only just started and I'm sick to death of it already......
I don't hate it with quite the passion that some people do, but I will never, ever, understand what all the fuss is about.
Take the TV coverage. A huge build up ( for months ) inane commentary while the crap is taking place, and then an autopsy/ enquiry to discuss why the team was beaten ( made fools of ) by a lesser group.
Of course, football can bring people together ( when they're not beating the crap out of each other ) but , most of the time just don't ask me to watch it........
What do you ladies think ? A lot of you today like soccer. I just thank God, Christ , and the Virgin Mary I never married one !!!

Well I DISPISE football with a passion!! I just can't stand it! What annoys me the most is a) Most footballers think they are absolutely fantastic just because they kick a ball into a net once in a while b) When footballers are injured they roll around on the floor as if their leg had been cut of with a blunt knife. c) The are immensly over- paid for doing practically NOTHING. d) The world cup has got out of hand here. People have flags attached to their cars and I even saw flags on a chilrd's pushchair the other day Everything is just OTT and it really drives me to insanity. I hate the England team most of all, I hate ALL the players especially David Beckham and Wayne Rooney. Also Manchester Untied is another of my particular hates!! My friend at school is actually OBSESSED about football. She loves Manchester United and never shuts up about it (I mean I know I go on about Miranda all the time too, but thats different, at least that is interesting.) She actually gets annoyed at me because I don't know who some most of the players she names are, and she is dismayed that I don't support England. Instead I support Denmark (well I know they are not in the World Cup but hey!!) It's kinda of a long story why I support them but here goes: Last summer on holiday my family randomly went into some pub and they were showing a match between England and Denmark. Then along came a load of England fans who were a little over enthusiastic for my liking and so I just announced "I'm going to support Denmark" and then...Denmark won!!! Hmmmmmmmm sorry for my rant, but it's good to get things off you chest sometimes!!!

I do not want to hear a single one of you complaining about making a fuss about the world cup. NOT A SINGLE ONE!!!! I mean, most of you have a decent number of miles of water beteen yourselves and the bleeding event. I don't. I live right next to it, and all our newspapers bring NOTHING ELSE!!! It's been going like that for months, and I hate it. I mean, our team will be chucked out anyway. why bother screaming when they slow the process down by making a goal? I only know that it's like a madhouse at the mo', and I'd love to be somewhere else until July 9th.

I usually quite like football, but I'm sick to death of the world cup already. Scotland aren't in it (surprise, surprise) so I've got no one to support.

I avoid football like the plague. Football fans in my area seem to bear more than a passing resemblance to primates. Knuckles dragging on the floor and everything. We live opposite a pub, and we know everytime a goal has scored, because of the almighty racket from there.
*pities Incapa*
The only good thing about the world cup, is that yesterday, when my parents had it on a lunch, I heard a little snippet of "Within Temptation" music in the background of some past footballing clips. That is the only good thing that has ever occured in football.

I will agree with most of you that football is pointless and over hyped!
BUT as you say Mick, it does bring people together! The place where I live, Portsmouth in the UK probably breeds some of the most foul hooligans ever to have walked the earth, yet the night that England won and in the run-ups to games, said hooligans are walking around hugging complete strangers, waving to strangers...there's a really sweet sense of comaradery.
BUT (that's another 'but' in caps!) that's the only tiny weeny little good thing I can say for it.
xxxxxxxxxx

My dad's currently watching the world cup on the only TV in the house that's connected to sky. Blackadder's on UK Gold now. I'm not happy.

I was in England 4 years ago, when germany had almost reached the cup final and england had been chucked out. our hosts advised us not to go out in the dark and to pretend we were from switzerland or austria.
it's so annoying, the whole of germany is suddenly showing patriotism, and the newspapers are soooo glad about it, because some crappy expert said that was healthy for a country's self-confidence. what they also mentioned is that the gouvernment uses the exitement of the world cup to push through all the acts that are unpopular.

Seriously? They told you to pretend you were from a different country? How, exactly, can people claim football is a good thing! It incites much alcohol consumption and violence!

But you know, there are a large amount of people who just like the game and are just interested in it and are all very nice people. Its sad that some others like to ruin it for the generaly nice football fans. What annoys me must about the world cup is that everyone uses for a advertisment ploy. Every advert here in UK has some shitty idea involving football. Its the only thing that annoys me about it!!!! ahhhhhhh! It actually puts me off the products they are advertising, coz they had to sink that low to try and get more sales lol. Its just EVERYWHERE!
Rant over.
Also us Brits need to learn to be good sports when we loose. I thought we would have got the hang of it by now since we loose almost everything (apart from the rubgy).
