I thought Mordred was being the Knight? Although, Mordred as King would make for a nice Mab/mordred shippy chess set...

Shippy=good. Besides, if Vortigern is the rook...

Nooo, not really. Well, there's Frik, Mordred, Morgan, Vortigern, and, if we're going by the book, there's Idath, too
Well, if Morgan was the bishop, perhaps? Then Frik is the Pawn, switch Idath to the King, keep Mordred and Vortigern as Knight and Castle respectively?

Well we said that Nimue and Merlin will be the King and Queen, and Arthur is the Castel. Lady of the Lake is the Bishop and Lancelot is the Knight. That only leaves the Pawn who could be... Um... Ambrosia maybe?

No, she's not a pawnish person, she has a mind of her very own.

You right... *Thinks of people who don't have a mind of their own and are in the "good" camp* Guinevere and Gawain don't seem like very bright characters to me.

Or Uther, as Merlin does use him to get Arthur... although, having a king as a pawn might be a bit odd.

Hmm, if Mab hadn't enchanted him, who knows what he might have been like? But as for other white pawn ideas, there's always Father Abbot or even Sir Rupert.

Nooo, not Sir Rupert! *is in no way fangirling over the horses* What about Sir Boris? Or even Lot? Or Elaine.
