Yes, that would be lovely. I mean, I know next to nothing about Tarot cards, but you know, if they made a set with Merlin on, I'd buy them anyway.
They should make some sort of Merlin chess-set as well, I reckon. I mean, you can get them for Lord of the Rings and Buffy and stuff like that. Merlin chess would be great... *is offtopic. Sorry*
But, yes, they are lovely, and await more with a greedy look in my eye.

A Merlin chess set is somthing I would love to get my hands on. *Sees in her minds eye how a Mab looking black queen eats the Merlin figure.* Hmmm... what chess figure Merlin could be anyway?
Wow, now that I said I will make the Minor Arcana too I'm not sure where to begin. *Murmur* Me and my big mouth...

Hmmm, Merlin being the main protagonist of the film (albeit an irritating git), would probably be the White King if this chess set ever came about (which is, let's face it, unlikely). I suppose he might be the bishop, otherwise.

All we need to do is lure someone skilled in woodwork over to the MRAP.
Yeah, I suspect he might be the bishop. In the LotR one, Frodo's a bishop or castle or something despite being the main charrie. Not that I have that chess set or anything. *hides down a hole*
And omfg, the Star card is absolutely gorgeous. *drops dead*

Hmmmm, on the slightly off topic subject of chess, whilst Mab would undoubtedly have to be the Black Queen, who would the Black King be?
Vis a vis Merlin, I suppose if he was the king, the Lady of the Lake could be the bishop.

Well I would personaly want Idath to be the king But since he is not in the movie, the king probably will be Vortigern. I believe that Arthur will be the white king and Merlin the bishop... But there are two white bishops so LotL could be the second one... Or it doesn't work that way?

Hrmm...I would think that both white bishops would be the same charrie.

Yesh, so do I... though it would be nice if they were all different. ^^ And yeah, I'd plump for Idath as king as well. ^^ And Mordred could be a knight. Although, he does make a point of not wanting to be knightly in the books.

Yes, but then neither Merlin nor the Lady of the Lake are actually bishops. And whichever character was the castle would likely not be an actual castle, LOL. But if Merlin was the king, then Nimue could be the White Queen, whereas if Arthur was king, then it'd make more sense to have Guinevere as the queen, and she's really too much of a minor character to have her own chess piece.
Right, so, we have:
Black Queen: Mab Black King: Idath Black Knight: Mordred Black Bishop:Morgan Black Castle: Vortigern Black Pawn: Frik
White Queen:Nimue White King: Merlin White Knight:Lancelot White Bishop: Lady of the Lake White Castle: Arthur White Pawn:
*peers at above post and realises that she has gone into perhaps too much detail about it*

Black pawn should be Frik, white knight should be Lancelot.

*pats on head*
Hmmm, perhaps if we had Merlin and Nimue as White King and Queen, and then we could use our two potential kings (Arthur and Vortigern) as the rooks/castles for their respective sides?

It works, yes. So then Mordred would be the Black King?
