Yes, I've read that. I beta read for her for awhile as well. It is excellent, but oh so dark. I only like E/G-fluff because I like Erik's softer side. Although his dark side is more fun to write. I quite enjoyed exploring that side of him in my story "Always There." Unfortunately, whenever I do dark, angst fics, it usually ends up with Erik dead. I have a habit of killing him off.

killing a character is a sign that you love it.

Oh, really? ;D I'm glad to hear that because I always wondered why I killed him off so easily and without much sorrow on my part when I love him so. Now I see that it is because I love him that I can kill him. ;D Yay! I don't feely guilty anymore!

I know the feeling. Although, I did feel somewhat guilty after killing Mordred off at the end of Illusion of Magic.

*bows LOWER* (ha!)
well, you have to care for a character to grant him enough attention to kill him. I mean, why bother kill some stupid git like ... André from POTO? he's just not important enopugh (zunless you make him, of course).

True, very true indeed.

But then, there is a certain amount of satisfaction in killing off people you don't like. Not so much with characters you don't care one way or the other about, though.

Yep, yep. It is great fun to kill of characters you can't stand. Like Katrina, for instance. I love killing her off! It is just...entertaining. I have not yet killed off Christine though. *cocks head thoughtfully* But that is probably because I tend to keep her out of my stories because I cannot bare to even WRITE her, even if the only purpose is to kill her. I guess that goes to show how much I truly loathe her.

Just out of interest, is it the character of Christine you hate or the actress's portrayal?
I know I'm in a minority but I think there's something rather sweet about Emmy Rossum. I know it's not a complex performance but she just has this sincere charm...
I think Gerard Butler is amazing. Really heartbreaking. Not keen on Patrick Wilson though, and I detest Minnie Driver's performance.

Ah, see I love Christina Ricci but I think her performance is wooden in SH I guess she was up against a really wonderful characterful cast though. Experienced period actors. xxxxxxxx

Yep, I must agree there. She shows like no emotion throughout the entire movie.
