He pulled away. "Don't, please." "You shouldn't hide anymore," Antoniette insisted, but she did not attempt a second time. "I know no other way of being," Erik turned away from her. "I thought that you, more then any other, would understand that." The last thing she wanted was his anger. She remained were she stood, touching the black pedals of her rose. "It seems such a long time since you've invited me down here."

"I need to hide away, they would never accept me" he muttered his voice stern at himself. "They would if you gave them a chance, but you don't, you hide away. It is not good for anyone to hide" Antoinette said caringly.

She neglected, purhaps on purpose, to remind herself that she'd been the one to originaly hide him. But in her own defense, this was because she didn't know what else to do. Specialy at such a young age as they had been back then. Getting older, she had treated him like a child, safe under the care of her wing. Maybe that was why it took so long for them both to realize how they'd felt? She sat down now, with him, at his organ. He touched the cords lightly, at first permitting no sound. Then, with passion, he let the music go, it's notes circulating through the cellar, about the shafts, and into the Opera House, empty and hollow as it was at the moment.

Antoinette began to sing along, Erik listened to her closely, he couldn't believe she still knew it. Slowly he stopped playing looking deep into her eyes "you still know it" he grinned. Antoinette nodded firmly "I never forget".

"It has been a long time since I've herd you sing," Erik's eyes wouldn not leave her. It was an almost uncomfortable moment. "Yes, well, I'm no Opera singer," She avoided his eyes now, thinking of Christine. The girl was a ghost in her mind. Both a child to her, and the women that distracted the man she loved. Then, it could of been her own fault, for pushing him away.

He gently stroked her cheek lovingly, giving her a gentle kiss on the lips. "Don't leave me Ann...I need you near me always" he whispered. "Erik I..." she whispered but was cut off by his arms picking her up carrying her towards the swan bed in the middle of the room.

Her braid swung as he carried her, and she gripped her arms around his neck. The sheets, deep and dark, embodied her form as he set her down, hoovering over her. They kissed again, only for the second time in all the years they'd been so close. His hand gripped her waist, and she felt the other stroking her face gently. She used her own hands to keep him at his distance. They parted lips, both of them breathing deeply. "What is it?" He spoke in a low whisper. "Erik, please, this is all to fast."

Erik gently touched her lips to silence her "I wont do anything you don't want me to Antoinette, you have my word, I wont hurt you" he whispered kissing her gently. Antoinette smiled happily kissing his lips gently as he held her in place, making sure she didn;t run away from him, she found it sweet.

Erik had never experience passion of this sort before. He'd be lying if he didn't say he was nervous. She could feel him tremble against her. Hmm...must keep this PG must keep this board appropriate... Must not get risky (she tells herself like mad women) Anoinette stroked her fingers along the firm side of his face. They graced just the edge of his mask. "Erik, may I , please?"

Erik didn't want her to but said nothing, Antoinette gently removed it, she was not scared of what she saw. She was just nervous about hurting him. Her hand stroked across his damaged cheek gently.

It felt strange to the touch. Erik shut his eyes. After a moment she felt her fngers brush his eyelids. They opened again, to see her starring up at him. "Erik, this is who you are. And I love all of you. Please, don't hide from me." He let the mask fall to the ground along side the bed.
Antoniette returned to the stage early the next morning, having come strait from the layer. Her girls were already in aline at the back of the stage, whispering to one another. Meg was the first to see her mother and teacher approaching.

Antoinette slammed down her cane to stop the talking ballet girls before teaching her class. Later that day Antoinette went to the amrket to get some bread when she banged into a man, sening her basket to the floor. "Excuse me Madame" the man said softly handing the basket back to her. When she looked up seeing the man in his robes she was amazed to find it was Erik.

He still wore a mask, but was handsomly dressed. "You left the Opera House," Antoninette Giry was still shoicked. Meg caught up with her mother, giving the strange man a look. Even as a young girl, her mother had never mentioned her connections to the Opera Ghost. TYhey's ever been entrodosed. At the moment, she didn't even realize this was who she was looking at. "Mom?" Antoinette touched her childs shoulder assuringly, 'Darling, please, go finish the groceries," She handed the girl her basket, not removing her eyes from the Phantom. "It seems strange seeing you out here," She said, once the girl had left, but not without a glance backward with suspicion.
