I'm going to be in England during fall semester. ;D
My electronic stuff is able to deal with european voltage, but the plug-in types are different. We have flat plugs in the US and the UK appears to have bizarre round plugs?
Are two-pin or three-pin plugs more common? Or should I have both?
edit: seems like UK does 3 pin and the rest of europe does 2 pin

I think the three plug ones are more common, but I have had hardly any experience with UK plugs. When I went I bought a converter that I think worked with both. I'm pretty sure there were three hole outlets, but I wasn't there very long at all so I could be totally forgetting. Also make sure your electronics' voltage isn't to high for the outlet or else you could seriously damage the electronic. Make sure your converter has a voltage adjuster because the voltage power in a lot of the outlets was lower then what the electronic needed to work properly. Beware the converters that don't change voltage, because although they allow you to plug American electronics into UK outlets, the voltage power doesn't change.
