I can't believe that I haven't commented on this until today. I never dreamt about being able to see the original production. Youtube is a dream come true! I saw the movie first lol. Angela Lansbury was so cute and funny as Mrs Lovett. I love both versions!

I have the Symphony album and Symphony Live In Vienna CD/DVD. That's all I have of Sarah's. I also have Repo! The Genetic Opera movie DVD and soundtrack. She plays 'Blind Mag'.

I wonder how Miranda got the role. I love her as Madame Giry too. ;D First I watched it in the cinema then I bought the book and soundtrack. The book is more interesting. Especially when there was more of Madame Giry. I've watched it a few times on dvd. Then I saw the real musical. Andrew Lloyd Webber is a genius! ;D

She plays characters that make you feel sad for them quite often. I would love to see her in happier roles to spare the heartache.

It's true that at least Sarah does not sing much opera in that, but I've heard her do it, and it is not like the screaming things I hear everywhere else. I normally hate opera, but just Sarah's voice makes it so much better. When she actually sings opera that is. I like her too because her voice is so soothing and doesn't sound like somone screaming ;D

Sadly I won't be able to see Miranda in Grasses of A Thousand Colours because I have just realised that it is too ridiculous for me to travel all the way from Singapore just for a play. I feel so pathetic.

The wedding scene was too short! I like Miranda's costume at the waltz but didn't get much chance to see her in it. She looks much nicer with her hair down. Another favourite scene was when Emily receives a letter from Miranda and cries when she reads it. I felt so sad for Miranda.

It's now 11:18pm where I am and I just watched it in the cinema at 13:40 lol ! ;D Miranda is super! I wish there was more of her. My favourite scene was when Jim Broadbent scolded her in front of everybody because I was waiting to see her reaction. I don't mind watching it again! ;D
