Thanks! I didn't read yet, but I heard about. Here, we said Conservatório (Conservatoire) too, but I not yet there, I'm in a professional school thats is the equivalent to 10º,11º and 12º years ( I don't know how its call in your countries, but is the corresponding of high school). I'm in the last year, so I will try the Conservatorio next year. I never thought, but what do you think of the role of Phaedra fot Miranda?

I think that all tragic monsters would fit Miranda because they are ambigous, deep and difficult characters and she plays that very well. The tragic character is a murderer, a vilain but he must be sympathic to the spectator in some way, he must have someting very touching, he must be vulnerable in his strenght. Some characters Miranda plays are like that, and she performs them very well (Mab, tha stepmother in Snow white, etc. I think that Mab is very tragic, because she can't do anything against the fate, even if she tries very hard). And yes, I'm sure she would be an excellent Phaedra, definitively. It's a shame she doesn't like playing classics. I think it depends wich calssics.

I don't know if any of you are familiar with the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller (Daniel Day Lewis is in the film version). Well, I recently studied it for Drama at school, and I think Miranda would be perfect for the part of Elizabeth Proctor. When I was reading the script, I could picture Miranda in the part.

*sigh* and here I sit having nothing to say apart from the fact that our french teacher decided to torture us with "L'école des femmes" by Molière, and that there is no Miranda-part in it. I would have loved to see her play Miss Kenton in "Remains of the Day", though.

'L'école des femmes' is not the best Molière's play, I do prefer 'Don Juan' or 'Les fourberies de Scapin'. Anyway, Molière is not my favorite comedies writer, I prefer Marivaux, who wrote the next century. But I don't imagine Miranda in Marivaux......

Oooh you played Elizabeth...wow...that's a dream role for when I'm older...Need to play Abigail and Mary next though, then progress to Elizabeth. Don't think I'd ever get bored of that play! xxx

I've got to wait till August to find out my result though. It's my dream to direct a production of The Crucible, so I'll keep you in mind for Elizabeth! It is a fantastic play, probably my favourite of all time.

He is a fantastic actor, and I share a birthday with him (April 29). I wasn't so keen on Winona Ryder as Abigail. I thought she was alright, not fantastic. It was a great film. I'd just love to see it perfromed live. I've never had the chance before.
