you ever read a book and thought 'ooh miranda would be perfect for that role??' or a new movie being made? well, obv everyone thinks Abigail in 'the lovely bones' (i've just finished and i lovvvvved it!) ;D i thought: Rita Skeeter-Harry Potter and the goblet of fire (mike newell is directing, they are old pals!) or failing that....Dolores Umbridge-Harry Potter and the order of the pheonix (she'd need lots of ugly make-up) and if anyone has read Popcorn by Ben Elton- Farrah would be a fabulous part for her! xxxxxxxxxxx

Great topic Mabs! I think she's make a fantastic Madame Ranyevskaya (forgive me if that's the wrong spelling) in 'The Cherry Orchard' by Chekhov.

OOh!! Me and my stepdad were discussing her as Rita Skeeter just the other night. How spooky...
Also, I thought, if anyone has read this, I thought she should be Sereffina Pekkala (can'y spell it) from His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman

I'm just about to start Birdsong so i'll tell you what i think when i've read it. My mum is a librarian so we have piles of books on every surface in the house- I'm never short of anything to read!!
I love Sereffina Pekkala, so naturally i thought of Miranda! ;D xx

Ah!!! Lady MacBeth, of course!! That would be really brilliant to see her in that. I played her in MacBeth once
I also thought Eliza Doolittle- Pygmailon. hmmm...
And Portia as well!! I wonder who could play the suitors....

Going back a little I second the motion for Miranda as Lady Macbeth, she would be fantastic.
