Re: Falling Angels, I haven't had any luck finding out about a cinematic release outside of Canada. (and its gone pretty quickly to video there too). It possibly will turn up at some festivals, which could hype it a bit. It did receive excellent reviews, but that doesn't mean anything nowadays. Realistically, it is a low budget, 'art-house' film, with a low-profile cast and crew from a non-mainstream country. (thats not being offensive to Canada, or any of the actors involved - the Australian film industry suffers the same way - its just too far out of the mainstream distribution criteria. And Miranda is the most well-known actor in it, and (although we love her), she's not well known or strong enough to sell a movie solo. I hope I'm wrong, but my gut feeling is that 'Falling Angels' may not even go to video outside of Canada, let alone get a cinema release.
I think the same may happend to 'Rage in Placid Lake', although this at least got screened in Edinburgh. I can't find any evidence that this will be screened outside of Australia. We are now into the video release of it here (rental only though).

And to think that this film was on the Haugesund film festival programme (in Norway of all places, last year!) I was expecting showings of this film in small art-house venues...well i guess there is still some hope left then. xxx

Miranda is in the featurette talking quite a bit-for her-she does have her Magnani sunglasses on though which is slightly frustrating, but she seems quite jolly! i'd advise everyone to get it xxx

As I mentioned before, The Prince and Me will be released on DVD in the USA in August. Buy your multi-regional DVD players now, so you can order your copy from the USA, and watch it sooner! I have to buy one also, so I can buy Miranda DVD's from the UK .
