true true true Avalon.
i am not a fan of tons of sex in movies. frankly, i think it is boring and unoriginal (Miranda aside). i mean, if i am going to pay for my ticket, i want to see good acting and a fair plot, not two people going at it for two hours. i mean honestly! (plus i know she can do better).
but, of course, we may all be judging it too quickly. sometimes if there is one teensy sex scene, critics go nuts and say it's 'full of sex' when it really isn't. we'll just have to wait i suppose. . .
oh. and by the way, Miranda has been quoted saying she doesn't really go for all that sexual stuff, so if there is a lot in Puffball (especially with her) i would be surprised is all. but of course, it is her choice.

Libitine, I hope so. Dance with a strnger? BLAGH! The innocent?! Century?! They don't even make it to a bed!!! I would say sleepy hollow but hell that's tim burton for ya. The only one that really needed it-ok 2-were Wah-wah for obvious reasons and spider. Anyone else have thoughts?

Hum true some need it more then others, and sleepy hollow and spider weren't exactly revealing either but they got their point across. I take a quote from someone else 'writing a page of sex is easier then writing a page of dialogue'

Ok: The innocent fine i get that now (thanks mike!). Um... century?! That was just...(Sudders) Dance with a stranger...Been too long, all I remember was Rupert Evertt and it was like 10 minutes in the movie or something...I guess if there's a concrete reason for it (ie having an affair that breaks the back of an already failing marriage) then fine. But like libitine said, when I go to see a movie, I want to see a movie not a porno.

I don't mind if it's in there-imagine how different Damage or Cruel Intentions would have been had we not seen some of the scenes?-but if it doesn't have a valid reason, I'm not happy.

It depends if you really need it there, if you don't and you can get around it then it annoys me, if you need it and it isn't too over the top then it's not so bad to have it there.

Exactly. If the story calls for it (again, Damage, Cruel Intentions, even Wah-wah, a tad) then by all means fine.

The only one that really needed it-ok 2-were Wah-wah for obvious reasons and spider. Anyone else have thoughts? Wah-Wah : not so bad. was needed to the plot Sleepy Hollow : again, not so bad. lasted five seconds and vital to the plot. like i said, if it's random, long (i.e. over twenty seconds -and think how long twenty seconds really is-), and useless to the plot, cut it out! besides, no critic goes to a movie and says, "Um, well there could have been more sex in it!" trust me, the critics vote for less sex. it just gets boring, and from a writers perspective, there isn't much you can do (creative wise) with a sex scene. ew. that sounds gross, but hopefully you get my point. and Helena- Manda had a Irish accent in The Crying Game (sorta) so i imagine her voice is kind of like that. but i pray it has a Mab twist to it. ;D
