just a reminder for the newbies...why Manda did not enjoy her experience with Mrs.URBAN I mean KIDMAN "RICHARDSON BATTLED WITH KIDMAN'S EGO" Have A bright day Avalon MIRANDA RICHARDSON has hit out at her THE HOURS co-star NICOLE KIDMAN, hinting she struggled with the superstar's ego on the set of the 2003 film. The pair shared a lesbian kiss in the film - in which Kidman played novelist Virginia Woolf - but English actress Richardson insists there was no chemistry, suggesting the Australian star was pre-occupied with her recent divorce from TOM CRUISE. Miranda says, "I didn't get to know Nicole, or have the most marvelous time. The chemistry wasn't good. It can be difficult: egos, or maybe something's going on in someone's life."

I'd herd she was uncomfortable on the set, and way to many interviewers talk about "the kiss" lol, after all I am pretty sure I recall each female character in that movie had a kiss with another female, and for that matter Nicole and miranda were playing sisters, so it was obviously not ment to suggest sexual tension of any sort. I am a fan of Nicole Kidman's my self. I've enjoyed a lot of her films. She has said in interviews that she had touched in on her depression in her divorce and the miscarriage in playing Virginia Woolf, and miranda has said that it is better to play something opposite the things you're going through in real life, so i do notice conflict as far as their acting methods go, and I do know Miranda has siad she doesn't have a method, btw Also, in the behind the scenes stuff, I noticed Nicole said good things about Miranda, although I will have to watch them again to recall what was said. At the same time I can understand it would have not been a very forfilling expience working with someone who is comsumed with her own depression as well as her characters. And they're ideas of acting do clash. Personally, i agree with Miranda. If you're going througha rough time, try doing something happy. that's all....I think

I am a fan of Nicole Kidman's my self I like Nicole Kidman too. The Hours completely changed my opinion of her. I thought she was absolutely stunning in it. Yes, her chemistry with Miranda wasn't great, but Miranda was only in that movie for about 10 minutes!

MIRANDA is sort of temperamental... the character of "the genius" my opinion is simple Miranda wanted and deserved a leading role in the motion picture. for what Manda said in another interview that she wasn't comfortable about the way her looks in the film and was quite stressful for her the short time she was on "the hours" set. I also recall the fact about "the fake nose" Miranda quoted in another interview. She was sort of indirect about it...butwas making a clear reference about the NICOLE KIDMAN role as Virginia. Miranda QUOTED too about it that "you can use your actoral resources instead of "fake stuff". I posted that stuff ages ago ..ANYWAY STARS ARE STARS!!! Nicole is all right to me. but not among my favs I LIKED HER MOST WHEN SHE CAME FROM Australia AND WAS A RISING STAR. ...did you know Keith and Nicole sold her Nashville home?? I guess for Nicole that's quite a small place to live she is used to a more compolitan life style. I just keep wondering if she really was pregnant and lost her child or was publicity...who knowsssssssss you girls are too lovelyyyyyyyyyyy I am the "cruel lady" nowwwwww xoxoxoxo KIDDING!!!!!!!!!

Nicole Kidman first got my attention in The Others. I adored that movie, and when I saw Moulin Rouge, I became a fan. I will say this however, sense I became a Miranda fan, she outshines any other performance and some of Nicole's new films have been a bit.....odd. Dogville was quite different. Birth, I haven't even seen. I do recall your posting the latter about the interviews Miranda has spoken in, Avalon and remeber reading them myself as well. And it is most agreed Miranda should of got a more leading role in the film. She is always given such small roles in bigger movies, where as her more supporting or leading roles are hidden and much harder to find....for me anyhoo. But that is okay, it makes it all the more exciting when I finally get to see one Oh, and almost forgot, there was some other unfairness far as presentation of the hours went, in my mind, concerning the fact that in every magazine interview I;ve seen about it over here, Miranda was only mentioned in one and it was when Nicole was asked about that darn kiss!
