OMG Should I go into how much I love this movie? I think I shall. "Sleepy Hollow" is simply brilliantly filmed and brilliantly acted (especially by Miranda, no duh). Normally I am not one for horror movies and the only reason I saw it was because Miranda was in it. And I loved it right away. The plot is very much entertaining and Miranda, as always, is perfect!
Lady Van Tassel is simply an AMAZING BEYOND AMAZING character. I feel for her, I really do, and I sympathize with her. She SO should've won in the end instead of the abominable ending to an otherwise perfect movie. And am I the only one who cannot stand Katrina? The brat (as I call her) annoys me even more than Christine does in PoTO and that is saying A LOT.

Katrina annoys you more than Christine? I wasn't keen on either, but for me Christine would win on annoyingness, simply because she had an apparant inability to change her facial expression.
Back to Sleepy Hollow, I'm not usually keen on horror films also, so I was surprised that I enjoyed it. But, with Miranda and Jonny Depp in it, and Tim Burton directing, it was always going to be great.

Yes, Johnny Depp and Tim Burton both did a great job. Back onto the topic of Katrina, I can't exactly put into words what annoys me so much about her. I just know that I despise her.

Perhaps it's that blondeness and seeming innocence and being so damn GOOD!

Finally someone agree with me!! Every time I saw Sleepy Hollow with my friends they said:" ohhh Katrina is sooo cute!" And I always answered: " She looks so stupid!". I dislike so much that "Katrina-type": fake blond and annoying eyes! Lady Van Tassel is very much carismatic and stronger!

Ohhh I forgot the only thing I like in Katrina: her name!! It's very similar to mine, Catarina!!! Apart from it, she's totally annoying! And yes, she considers herself a great witch, but yhe only thing she did was drawning in the floor!!

well, I dealed with my no-Katrina-head-rolling-frustration by making her head roll in a fic, that was balm for my wounded soul. some Ichabod-lovers flamed me for it, though. stupid people.

Oh yes, it feels great. Besides, the brat is no better than LVT herself. she too was willing to let her die because LVT had killed Balthus. LVT did not act out of pure evilness. At the beginning, there was love for her family, and when her beloved ones were harmed, the wanted to strike back. Isn't that just what the good guys were doing as well?

I actually first watched it when I was about 11/12. I had no idea Miranda was in it until I saw her name in the credits- mostly I watched it because I was going through a horror-film phase, and watched everyone I could get my hands on.
It was on TV a few months ago, so I watched it again (knowing Miranda was in it) and thought it was great. I agree, LVT certainly started with wanting to avenge her family, but from what I saw of the film, especially the killing of her sister, I think she became so immersed in killing all her old enemies, that all she cared about was killing them, and not so much with the "honourable intentions". I think she started off trying to avenge a wrong that had been done, and ended up becoming evil herself- mostly evidenced by killing her sister, and all the witnesses of her killings, not just those who had wronged her in the first place. She's still the best damn character in the film though!
