I think playing Rita will probably boost Miranda's popularity with some younger audiences. My only worry is that since Rita is one of those characters you just love to hate, what if everyone starts hating Miranda? That would be very upsetting.

Surely they'll just love her as a naughty rogue type person? Oh god, i hope she gets good reviews...calm, calm Fran.
I have a Phantom poster from a magazine on my wall!! Is this getting spooky?!
I have Love Actually, Vanity Fair, Johnny in Pirates, Finding Neverland posters too.
Miranda wise i have my new gorgeous print from Damage and Dance With A Stranger poster.
So now you know.

I'm awake! But it's 10:30 pm out here in Illinois right now. I'm about to go to bed.
Post-its cover the back of my door (pale pink ones in a green room). They have strange things written on them like inside jokes, favorite movies, reminders from months ago, and movie/TV quotes. It's fun to decorate it.
I have Finding Nemo and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron posters, too. They came in video games that I got.
*ducks and waits for pointing and laughing*

Ooooh I like the post-it thing! Fab! I would have put the Phantom poster from a magazine on my wall but at the time we were having celing leakage problems and I had to take all my posters down because the walls got soaked regularly and by the time it got sorted out I'd lost the magazine! On MY walls (this sounds like one of those really long car games!) I have a poster of Miranda from Dance With a Stranger, a poster of Johnny, a poster of Mulder and Scully, 2 prints of New York from varying angles, a random little 'Have-a-Day' poster with lots of faces and a noticeboard which I put obviously things I need to know and pictures that are too big to put on my blind (I have a newspaper Desperate Housewives thing atm!) And then there is my blind, on which I put lots of lovely pictures of lovely people. I have lots of Miranda, Gillian and Johnny and then I have some Julian McMahon pictures and a Desperate Housewives one because I couldn't find one of Marcia on her own and I can't print them off the computer.... Not that you really needed to know all of that! ;D

IIIIIIIIII have no posters on my wall (waits to be slaughtered), but a big puzzle with two red cats on a tree in fron of the night sky with the sun rising in one corner, and it glows in the dark. Aaaaand some kind of vitrine (?) in which I keep the rosettes (?) from my riding competitions (few as they are ...), and maany photos of my horse and friends, and a photo I took of Stonehenge when I was in England (It lasted only tooo short *sigh*).
And I don't think Rita will make her hated. Was she hated for playing Mab? Or Lady Van Tassel? Is Alan Rickman hated for playing Snape? No! He's adored because he's a good actor and really sexy when he does this evil-stare-thing. People will love Miranda for giving a great, vital and fascinating performance, I am sure of that!!

I guess you're right about her not being hated. It's just one of those things. Like I don't usually like characters that butt into other people's lives (Rita is one of my exceptions). I just want to yell at them most of the time. But that probably won't happen to Miranda.

Guess so, cause if she butts in a lovely, stylish way, you just can't help adoring her.
