Miranda Richardson on Rita Skeeter Written by Matthew at 3:31 PM, 03-14-05 - 11 comments Miranda Richardson (Rita Skeeter in Goblet of Fire) is quoted in the latest issue of the The Week, an Indian magazine: "The film is special because I'm back with director Mike Newell, with whom I did my first film. I play Rita Skeeter, a ridiculous journalist who has styled herself as the goddess of gossip. She's exaggerated in the script, but I have tried not to caricature her."

Ohh wow, I didn't know she was back working with Mike Newell on HP!! Ohh my God how fab! Although I probably should have known but hey. And how sweet of her.. and ohhh! Am actually at school in textiles atm, so should be doing card questionnaires, but the lure of Miranda was too strong! And how dare they not put her name on the poster!

How could they not put her on that damn thing?
As for her voice, I imagine something arrogant, not too high-pitched, but still high, and quite businesslike.
Did that make sense? Sorry if it doesn't ...

I want to see it now, too! This makes very little sense, but I think a voice combo of Mrs. Tweedy and the Queen of Hearts would be kinda cool. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone, but I understand myself. Which is good. ;D

I have a POTO poster hanging on my door, but it's one that I cut out of the movie section of the newspaper. ;D I'm kind of cheap in that way. It's funny cause it has the listings of when and where it'll be playing in the Chicagoland area. Now I think there's only one theatre around here showing it. But that's the only reason why I cut it out-because it had Miranda's name on it. ;D
