Perhaps, I should get it. It took me years to get AIM though. However, talking to you would be incentive enough, so I suppose once I get my new computer.

I can never get into the hang of MSN, I've had AIM since 1997 so it's pretty much standard for me. Sometimes I do sign onto MSN but my friends list isn't very big and I never see anyone online. I kind of want to download Trillian because it logs you into all your messenger programs at once, might be handy.

Oh yeah, my ex-roommate had that. It was cool! I need to try MSN...does it actually work with powerbooks?

I used it [it being Trill] once but I think I got confused with all the screen names one day... who knows
And yes... they make MSN for MACS.... well I THINK
But come to think of it it is a windows messenger so maybe not!

I didn't feel any emotion for any of ther actors in Damage except Miranda, which might have been the intention. Juliette was spookily devoid of any emotion whatsoever, I guess it suited her part. I am not keen on the film though, I think it might have more to do with the writing than the acting although neither was particularly good.

except for Miranda, of course. And yes, the whole film is eerily cold. Spooky.

I think the fault lies with the character of Stephen....i'm not just blaming it ALL on J Iron's acting, i do think the character didn't translate very well from book to film...but Jeremy played him in such a cold, distant and well frankly, scary way that at no point did i feel sympathy with him...whereas in the book i understood the man and felt how amazingly strong his passions and feelings were for Anna.
Juliette Binoche, in my opinion, is a fine actress...she amazes me in films like The English Patient, Chocolat etc. but i think the fact her character was written as such a cold and detached way made her look like she was going down the same route as Jeremy... in short, i think he pulled her down with him. With a better leading man who complemented her style and portrayal I'm sure i would have understood her performance more.I like the way you put it Jen-'spookily devoid of any emotion' and it's a shame as i think it would have worked if not for the writing and her leading man.
I remember reading that she was terribly unhappy during filming as well...the set was not a nice place to be by all accounts!!

Ha ha, I like Juliette, and I remember reading that about her too. I totally agree with you, and it turns out I do have MSN messenger from two years ago, and I've just never used it. That's so weird.

I thought the same thing about Damage... it's like so much speaking was done through glances and it did come off terribly cold and distant. It bothered me, Id on;t like that movie at all [well, aside from Miranda's part, which makes it worthwhile]
