Omg I totally forgot they were together in that Harry Potter spoof!! Bet Miranda loved French and Saunders for bringing them back together - in fact I wonder if she acted like her Hermione towards him

Yeah i thought that was quite funny... maybe she just avoided him or something because they didn't have any actual parts together did they??

yeah that's true... but at least they didn't actually have any actual dialogue between them... and also i was thinking as i watch Damage (again) last night, well Miranda said that she came off the set on most days feeling annoyed and frustrated, but right up to the scene at the end, you'd never know that the tension was there would you?? maybe she let it all out in that final scene...

Yeah, maybe she really found it helped her performance? not that she'd ever need any help i love the bit when she's first on and on the phone-so natural...and so magnetic, can't take your eyes off her. xxxxx

Slightly off the subject, but Sally's what? 14? i don't think my mum would be so happy at letting a random boy stay in her house with me!!!

Aww I was watching Damage again the other night. Totally agree about there not being any tension. Hello? Great actress!! Like you noticed tension between CZJ and Renee in Chicago, because it was there and they weren't good enough to hide it - please tell me how they have both won Oscars when Miranda hasn't??

Ooh Bean's opened the can of worms again... I wish i could understand it, i really do.But i can't.I wish i could get inside people's minds and find out why the hell they think that is fine acting!!!?? Perhaps in CZJ case it's the singing and dancing-people seem to think that requires more talent than ACTING-which obviously CZJ can't do at the same time as clumping around like an elephant, sorry, dancing. oh no, off i go again... xxxxx

Lol @ Elephant - please can that be her new nickname?? Actually we should put it in the Mirandaite dictionary.
Elephant = Catherine Zeta Jones
Apologies for opening up those worms. I was thinking that distribution may well be one of Miranda's problems. I mean if the members don't see the performance they can't vote for it. This also seemingly affects one of my other favourite actresses Lili Taylor, whose work is so often underseen, that what she does goes almost unnoticed. Also the Academy Awards have seemingly in recent years looked towards a small bunch of films from where they take their nominations - maybe in a couple fo the acting categories there are one or two exceptions, but on the whole there are lots of crossovers.

yeah exactly. I personally think the oscars are 1 big scam and it's all about bribes and surface stuff- but that's maybe just me being cynical... but still, if that wasn;t the case, the WHY DOESN'T MIRANDA HAVE 1?? i doubt then none of the academy have never heard of her, even if her films aren't mainstream, there must be someone who's seen them???

Wasn't that the thing with Spider? It just seems ludicrous-and BASIC-that they should have to watch everything before they vote They are just a popularity contest really....the stars get them not the actors...And the whole stupid thing of 'oh, we didn't give her one last year so we'll give it to her this year', regardless of what the performance is like ...what is the actual point in the things?! CZJ has quite a few names now!!! xxxx

Wasn't sure where to post this but Star mag has a gorgeous picture of Miranda at the Baftas, she looks absolutely beautiful, so glowing. Unfortunately the magazine in question doesn't know the meaning of the words 'class' and 'not-dressing-like-a-sheep' and has written some rather rude and patronising things about her Yet they give Tamsin Outhwaite full marks despite the fact she looks like everyone else in the whole world... 'get a clue' is what i say to that magazine. (although i suppose we should thank them for printing the picture as no-one else has...) me and fran have already discussed buying 4 copies!! x
