Sooo, I was skipping about the MRAP, and I thought I'd make a thread for anyone else on here who's a fan, or just a casual player, of the Final Fantasy games.
Firstly, may I state, I love the music for these games, and I salute the man who composes them, whose name, I fear, I fail at spelling. Nobuo Uetmatsu, I THINK, but feel free to correct me. He kicks ass anyway, whatever his name may be. There are some lovely live videos of the musc being performed by choirs and orchestras on youtube, if anyone would like I can hunt them down for you.
Right, so, onto the games, because they do, after all, make up the bulk of the Final Fantasy fanbase.
1) What games does everyone own?
2) Have you completed any?
3) Which are your favourites?
4) Which characters do you like best? And which can't you stand?
AND
5) For those of you who have played 12- the new battle system? Like or loathe?
For me:
1) 1,2,4,5,6,7,9,10,10-2 and 12. But, to be fair, I've not started 4 or 5 yet.
2) Only 7, to my shame. Though I almost completed 10 before being wiped out by the Final boss...
3) 7 for the storyline, tis truly lovely, if bloody confusing *brain dies*. 10 for the scenery, sorry to be shallow, but there's some gorgeous stuff there. 12 has better graphics, but the scenery isn't as pretty, to me. And I love 9 too, not sure why.
4) Characters- Lulu (not because she makes me vaguely think of Mab, but with a slightly kinkier outfit, not at all... but she is cool, and she does kick so many different kinds of arse when powered up), Tifa (for the Limit Breaks), Freya, Kuja (mostly for his theme tune, to be fair...), Sephiroth's pretty cool, too, Balthier and Fran. As for the ones that annoy me... Well, Steiner jumps to mind fairly swiftly. And Aeris/Aerith. Yuna and Tidus got on my nerves, too, as does Vaan.
5) I like it- the old levelling up system took ages, waiting for the animations, etc. This one's easier to use, and also easier to flee from.
