Yes! And I can't wait to see the second film now! Cos as you all know, Bill Nighy is in it ;D
I have to say that Johnny Depp is one of the best male actors there is.

Can't wait to see Johnny back in action as Captain Jack (I love any of the captain jacks, Barrowman or Depp!!), but I'm not looking forward to all the special effects and battles. I've heard there's a lot of spectacle in the second film?

I saw it last night and yes, there is alot of it. I am not a fan of too much battles and such either, but Jack Sparrow just makes them very fun. He has a battle with Will and Commandor Norrington (from the first film) and that is rather hilarious. I am in love with Jack Sparrow by now, and I think I will faint from waiting for the third film. Keira was crap though.

Die, Will, die! the character is such a sod! but Norrington is kinda cute, he's always so awkward (at least in the original, don't know about the second).
So this movie at least has escaped the horror of sequel-itis?

YES OMG.
No sequel-itis here, although some scenes were unnescessarily drawn out, but otherwise 'twas fine. -huggles Norrington- I'm in love with Norry-Norry-kins. Totally.

Alas, I have yet to see it! One of my so called friends who moved to London eariler this summer went (apparently although she is not always the most honest of people *sigh*) to the British premiere of it.

I finally saw the second film! God, Jack Sparrow is one of the greatest bloody characters ever created. Nearly up there with Mab. He should be honoured to be so high on my list.
I think I still prefer the first one- it's very obvious that this one is meant as part of a series, whilst the first could stand on it's own. The ending was good, if a bit unexpected, and the music was great- I do like it when sequels keep the same music as their predecessors, helps with continuity, and the score for the first one was so lovely- so it was pretty good all around. But Davy Jones wasn't as good as Barbossa, in my honest opinion.

I am like, "OMG BARBOSSA!" I wasn't a Barbossa fan at first, but then whilst re-watching the first movie I decided to be a fan.
