Paul liked working with Miranda and found her 'quirky'

Paul Giamatti found British actress Miranda Richardson "eccentric" while working on new movie Fred Claus together.

"She was great," says Paul. "Her character was really bizarre. She was sort of doing this sort of 1950s housewife thing which was very funny. I was really excited to know that she was going to be doing it and she's a very odd funny person, so she was really great to be around. It made it easy to do.

"I don't mean odd," he clarifies. "She's quirky and very eccentric. She's just very funny and a pleasure to be around."

Miranda plays Paul's wife Annette Claus in the movie, which also stars the likes of Vince Vaughn, Kevin Spacey and Rachel Weisz.

"All the other people in the movie attracted me to the role," reveals Paul. "I wanted to work with Kevin Spacey and Vince and all those people. And I thought the director David Dobkin was a weird choice for it too, so he would probably do something interesting."

Fred Claus ended up being one of my favorite Holiday films this year and not just because Manda was in it! It was well written and completely hilarious. I found Manda and Paul to be quite adorable, also the chemistry (laughs and such) between Vince and Manda were wide.
