While looking for something completely different, stumbled upon an article from the New York Daily News, as copied in the firefighters of New York website. Have no idea how old this is, but how horrific this could have been! Feel as tho the Hand of God Himself came between the girl and the SUV. Obviously, neither the firemen who aided, nor the reporters had any idea whose God daughter this was. I'll transcribe, and apologize in advance for any grammatical errors. Herewith--

TOT WHO LIKES FIRETRUCKS LEARNS BRAVEST NICE,TOO
A little tourist from London who wanted a photo of herself with a firetruck darted into Manhatten traffic yesterday and was hit by an SUV- but was quickly scooped up by alert firefighters.
Caelo Dineen Vanstone, who turns four today, suffered a broken left shoulder in the 12:45 P.M. accident, but her mother told the Daily News she was grateful the injury wasn't even more serious.
"She's been really lucky. She'll be fine," said Muirne Kate Dineen, 44, an artist visiting New York for a lecture. " She was absolutely terrified."
The mother and daughter were walking along Hudson St. near Franklin St. in Tribeca when Caelo spotted a FDNY truck and wanted to have her picture taken with it, Dineen said.
"We were crossing the road," Dineen said. "She was holding my hand, and for some strange reason she ran back.... she pulled away from me and the car hit her."
"I couldn't do anything, " Dineen said. "It happened so quickly."
Caelo was hit by a 2003 Acura SUV and sent sprawling to the pavement. Shocked, she began to cry, attracting the attention of the firefighters eating lunch nearby, who stabilized the child until paramedics arrived.
"The little girl was upset and her mom too," said Lt. Steve Gentiluomo of Ladder 1.
Caelo was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital Manhatten and, when she emerged hours later, she had her arm in a sling and a mother grateful to New Yorkers.
"Everybody we met and who helped us has been terrific," Dineen said.
END
Doubt her mom will ever be fully able to erase this incident from her memory!
