I agree:) 100 %:Dshe must be some kind of Queen:Dshe is so good at playing one:D
I hope she plays more Queens in the future:Dwho else could se play?:DI think she should play Queen Elizabeth the first but in a serious piece. Though we'd all think of Queen no doubt. She should have the long beautiful hair she has as Queen Elspeth.

she always plays the Queen. i think that's because she is Queenly (is that a word?) i have always heard in interviews with her castmembers that she has a commanding presence on set. that's what you would look for when casting a Queen. plus, she is so damn pretty, she would make the perfect Queen.

I think she plays queens so often because she appears elegant.

Just moving this post in here because it's the same topic so no need for a separate thread . If I Interviewed Manda... I know she doesn't always like interviews so I would make her relax. We'd be in my house or hers. And we'd have our dogs:)and we'd take them in the garden and talk. I wouldn't write down what she says I'd take a mental note. Then we would sit inside and have a drink talking. I wouldn't have set questions I'd just speak normally to her:Dafterall Actors as people too we don't need to treat them any different:) ::)I would love to meet Manda and her dog:)that'd be so sweet ;D

interesting. . .
first, i've heard she's shy, so i wouldn't call it an 'interview' so much as a 'chat'. second, i wouldn't want to pressure her by writing down whatever she says. i think i could remember it all ((unless i start staring at her)). i would just want to make her feel comfortable and NOT like she was being grilled by a crazed Miranda-fan. ;D

I think, I would ask: "Have a cup of coffee with me?"
I'd really like to know about her personality, because I like people who are mysterious. And Miranda is mysterious, because there's not much information about her. Not much information compared to so many other actors/actresses etc. ^^

Let's imagine you go in a park. There are many people walking and talking there. You walk along and around a corner, where you can see only a few people, you see a bench. You are a little bit tired and want to sit down. Then you realise a person - a woman - sitting on this bench. After a second look you realise it's Miranda Richardson sitting there. Well...what would you do? What would you REALLY do? Would you be too shy to sit next to her? Would you pass her without a single look? Or would you sit next to her and talk to her? Would you ask for a photo or an autograph? Or what else?
I think, I'd sit next to her and pretend that I don't know who she is. After a while, I'd say: "Nice day, isn't it?" Maybe I'd be lucky enough to have a long, nice talk with her. And before I'd say goodbye to her, I'd maybe - really just maybe - tell her: "I know who you are. I just thought, you'd be fed up with questions like: Can I make a photo of you? or Can I have an autograph? Or something like that. It was really nice to talk with you. Have a nice day and take care."
And then, I'd stand up and go. ^^

Hm..if you put it like that.. At first,I'd have to take a DEEP breath to calm myself down and stop myself from freaking out. Then,I'd probably sit down next to her and pretend I didn't know who she was, like you said.Maybe say something about the weather or ask her about the time.Maybe have a little conversation. Not sure if I would tell her I knew who she was before leaving though, but if I did,I'd smile, give her arm a soft little pat and then leave. But the question is..would you actually recognise her?

I'd be too afraid to even sit down. I think I would wonder if she wanted to be alone and didn't want anyone sitting there.

OK, I'd sit down and smile at her and maybe say hello, just as I would to any other person who happened to be sitting on a bench I wanted to sit on. I wouldn't let on that I knew who she was. That would scare her, I think. I'd just treat her as I'd treat any stranger, to be honest.

I dunno, I'd be too scared to sit, but if I did I'd smile and just not say anything unless she did first. Then I'd talk to her. And if I could add into the conversation I'm a drama student any tips lol. In my dreamy land of Miranda I'd wanna hug her and talk to her for hours. In normal land I'd be too shy lol
