Aside from homework, possibly going on holiday, possibly doing soem revision, and the return of the Saturday Night Dr Who! One more week to go, yay! Did I mention the new Doctor was in Harry Potter with Miranda? Ahem, anyways, I will try and get some writing done, but no guarantees!

Yes, true... but he doesn't do that as The Doctor, thankfully. The Doctor is, after all, not evil. A little eccentric, yes. A 900-year-old alien, last of the Time Lords, can change his form 12 times before dying (David Tennant being number 10), and sometimes gets a little bit angry at Daleks (which are evil killing aliens that sort of look like pepperpots and say "Exterminate" a lot), but not evil. Although, to bring the topic round nicely to Merlin, there was an evil guy in one of the episodes who sort of reminded me of Mordred- sort of happily-evil attitude type thingy. That being a technical term.

Do you think Mordred was happy? I'm not sure I'd have wanted that kind of life. Ok, he was allowed to be as evil as he wanted, but he was never loved just because he was who he was, the poor bloke. I mean, it's a bit of a miracle his mother even remembered his name, and Mab only loved him (if she could, that is), because he was her winning tool. Must have been pretty bitter. But then, being evil always seemed to get him into a good mood, so I won't argue with "happily evil".

Hmmm, point taken. Mab did seem somewhat sad when he died though, so perhaps he got to be a little bit happy there at the end. Perhaps Morgan did keep forgetting his name? You know, the bits we didn't see when he was growing up, she might have been calling him Fred. OK, that was a stupid comment, but there we go. Being evil certainly seemed to give him warm, fuzzy feelings.

Yeah, she did seem to feel for him as much as she could for humans at that point of her existence. I've found a song called "Mordred's Song". It's about this being forced to be a murderer thing.
Mordred's Song
I've lost my battle before it starts My first breath wasn't done My spirit's sunken deep Into the ground Why am I alone I can hear my heartbeat Silence's all around
See hate will rise So don't come closer Fear your child Born with a king's heart But hate fooled me And changed my cards No one asked if I want it If I liked it
Pain inside is rising I am the fallen one A figure in an old game No Joker's on my side I plunged into misery I'll turn off the light And murder the dawn Turn off the light And murder the dawn
Nothing else But laughter is around me Forevermore Noone can heal me Nothing can save me I've gone beyond the truth It's just another lie Wash away the blood from my hands My father's blood In agony we're unified
I never wanted to be What they told me to be Fulfill my fate than I'll be free God knows how long I tried to change fate
Pain inside is rising I am the fallen one A figure in an old game No Joker's on my side I plunged into misery I'll turn off the light And murder the dawn Turn off the light And murder the dawn
I plunged into misery I'll turn off the light And murder the dawn Turn off the light And murder the dawn!!

Where'd you find it? It's really good. Very Mordred. Hence the name "Mordred's song", I suppose. *hits self on head*

Ooh, cool. They were very good! Do they do lots of Arthurian type stuff, out of interest, seeing as they've done songs called "Mordred's Song"", and that Arthurian song in the Merlin clip?

dunno. but they did loads of Lord of the Rings stuff, one song's called "The Lord of the Rings" (duh), one's called Gandalf's Song, and I think they have one called The Bard's song: The Hobbit. I don't know much of their stuf, though, only stumbled across them thanks to the Merlin-video.

Argh! Lord of the Rings! I HATE those films. And the book. Which is odd, because generally I love fantasy stuff.

me too. I was totally freaked out by Gollum (I'm almost ashamed of admitting it, everyone of my friends thought him cute) and his stupid "my precious", and the way his hand came out of the torturing-machine. I couldn't sleep for days, and I was suffering from severe mental whatever when I had to walk up stairs in the dark. I was seeing that little beast in every corner, and I always thought something was right behind me. So right behind me that I could not even see it when I turned around to look. I cured myself with the parody Bored of the Rings, in which "Lumgol" only works for the Dark Side to finance his aunt's steel lungs.
