I picked I Love Lucy, but I don't remember if All In The Family was on there. That would have been my choice.

The Addams Family! I just got their dvd set. So sad, I only just realized they only have two seasons! I used to watch them, the Monsters, I Dream of Jeanie, and Bewitched when I was little, on TV land. I like strange stuff ;D

I got the Addams dvd too, season 1 & 2.(1964/1966)just like "the Munsters".
THE SHOW was cancelled because of the color tv series and the new proposals like:BATMAN. but BOTH "THE ADAMS " & "THE MUNSTERS" got a huge impact on the 60 s society... like the Munsters aired for 2 seasons too (1964/1966) both cancelled in the same year.THE TWO SEASON DVD s are great .I m a freak collector of tv series of any kind.
BEWITCHED GOT A LONGER LIVE FROM 1964-1972. it was alongside "i dream of Jeannie"one of the most successful shows in the 60s aired for 7 season.
I am waiting for the 5TH SEASON THIS JULY.
BARBARA EDEN S "I dream of Jeannie"did enjoy huge popularity too(1965 to 1970)from the 5 season we already got available on dvd the first 3.

Sounds like you've got an impressive DVD collection, avalon! I've got a few shows on DVD, but I'm picky about what I'll buy. Though I don't give enough attenion to how much I spend as I should. My X-files were 150 $ a box set!!! And since I collected them all, they've gone down in price. Yeah, I';m not a wise shopper.
I herd it was because of color tv that Addams got taken off the air. either the cost, or that the color would distract from the plots...What do you think of the movies?

well such a good question:in the beggining I was reluctant to accept "the new Addamses" I was a teenager so was so fond of striking Carolyn Jones aka Morticia and John Astin aka Gomez. Cant forget expressions such as :GOMEZ/ASTIN: "CAPITAL IDEA" or "BY GEORGE","CARINITO"... GORGEOUS CAROLYN FAMOUS:"THE MAIL S IN" As John recalled:there was a very very special chemistry between both of them...even though Carolyn was still married with producer Aaron Spelling. the fact of being a huge Anjelica Huston fan helped me lots.besides CHARLES ADDAMS idea was respected. I must said I do adore the 60 s tv series. But Raul Julia was amazing as Gomez, C.Ricci was surprisingly spooky,Lisa Lorin was cuter my favorite WEDNESDAY ,I guess most of you do prefer C.RICCI but I heart L.LORIN. my favorite is the first film "the Addams family" for "the Addams family values" I have some critics. technically was doubtless incredible. BY THE WAY I BOUGHT THE 2 SET DVD BOTH MOVIES IN ONE BOX. I AM REALLY AN INCURABLE DVD/ CD/VHS COLLECTOR BUT VERYYYYY PICKY,BELIEVE IT OR NOT. I WILL NEVER BUY FOR INSTANCE..THE "SIMPLE LIFE" DVDs...get it...hahahahahaha.sorry Paris Hilton fans. I GUESs IS A MATTER OF GENERATIONS I WAS A CHILD IN THE 80 s a teenager in the 90S even though I do love the 60 S TV SHOWSbecause I grew WATCHING THEM & THE 60 s were magical years to me. the Addams were never creepy or ooky for me neither the Munsters!!hehehe.

I don't like Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty or the older Disney movies. I grew up with Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas and the Little Mermaid lol. When I was a little girl I had the computer games and I listened to the Whole New World song soooo many times. That song and All I Ask of You from Phantom were some of the first love songs to "touch" me as a child lol. As I've said before, when I first saw Phantom at around 6 or 7 my mother looked over during All I Ask of You to see tears streaming down my face.
