ahhh - more people to join our metal-goodness!
I made the scary discovrey that I like Nina Hagen, whom I originally considered a punk-lady, but who did a glorious Rammstein-cover with Apocalyptica.
Also discovered that headbanging in combination with a laaaate hour is more effective and way cheaper than alcohol.

Iron Maiden did indeed cover that song. As did Stratovarius. Now I just need Sonata Arctica to cover it, and I shall be a happy chap

Hey... would anoyone be willing to upload Nightwish's 'Century Child' album to sendspace for me, so I can hear it/have it? I have a list of my own cds, here and I'd be happy to trade if anyone wants any of those ones.

You could always use limewire. (; That's how I got all my Nightwish tracks, from End of All Hope to Beauty and the Beast.

Before this I had never heard of Nightwish...but the past week or so I have been downloading songs and I am now absolutely obsessed. I've never liked any kind of metal or anything...but I cannot stop listening to it. Not sure what my favorite song is....but I've mostly been listening to the Century Child and Once albums...awesome.

The Deranged Bearded One (AKA Nightwish's bassist) has a band called Tarot.
He's a pretty good singer, you can find them if you go onto his Wikipedia bio (you may have to find out what his name is first)

Everytime I listen to them I get so sad because of Tarja...I read the letters and it's just so sad...I can't get over it. I don't know if I'd like another singer...and on youtube when I watch the videos from their last concert it's so heartbreaking knowing the 4 of them know and she doesn't. Ghost Love Score is probably my favorite song...and my neck is so sore from my little rhythmic head banging lol. I woke up and could hardly move my neck.

He's a pretty good singer, you can find them if you go onto his Wikipedia bio (you may have to find out what his name is first) The deranged bearded one as you call him, my dear Minkaro, goes by the name of Marco Hietala in his every day life. He's also been involved in a band called Sinergy. May I just say: CENTURY CHILD DAMN WELL RULES OVER ANY AND EVERY OTHER METAL ALBUM MADE!!!!! *headbangs* Ahem, sorry, been listening to extra lots of Nightwish recently. That happens to be my favourite album. Has anyone here listened to Tristania? They're a gothic metal band from Norway- they have a female operatic vocalist, a clean male vocalist, a death metal vocalist, and (up till the last album I believe) violins and choirs. I bought their first album "Widows Weeds" recently, and I'm partway through listening to it. I've fallen a little bit for the song "Pale Enchantress".
