Well, there's something you don't hear of every day.
Why did the rent boy strangle him? Was it a personal grudge, or was he just crazy?

I think it was because he didn't get his money.

I see. A couple of members of the Liberal Democrat party have been revealed to have been visiting rent boys, but they were not strangled, so they obviously did pay them

Incapability, even if the DVD is only availible in region 1 you must be abble to watch it. Almost all DVD players are multiregional now, even if they are a little old. Moreover, if your region 2 DVD Player really CAN'T play a region 1 DVD you can download a free code on internet, wich will make your DVD player multiregional.
I havn't seen The Merlin Apprentice yet, but I must admit that I'm not really attracted by the idea, even if I loved the first movie. However, I might watch it someday because I like the Miranda's work. I didn't enjoy all the movies she played in but I always found her performances interesting.

She's not in it as much as she was in Merlin, though, which is the first problem. The second being no Mab. The third being continuity-killing. The fourth being accent-slaughtering.

Oh God...... The biggest matter for me is that I cannot imagine The Lady of the Lake suddenly turned into an evil woman. Is it credible in the movie? I did like Mab a lot in the first movie, I found her very interesting because she's not entirely evil. She's got a tragic dimension I like.

Yes, whereas the Lady of the Lake has much less motivation behind her evillness. She is just suddenly evil. Mab, on the other hand, wasn't exactly evil- her methods were dubious, particularly later in the film, but she wasn't motivated by bad reasons. She just didn't want to be forgotten and fade into a nasty oblivion, which, when you look at it, is not exactly unreasonable.
