She's definitely my favorite author even if her biased takes on the historical events irks me sometimes-if only because it's in opposition to my own bias. But her style is amazing.

I do agree that there are biased opinions in her books, but I know that this is what historical fiction novels always do. I am attempting to write a historical novel right now and I have had to make some decisions and manipulate history slightly. I love Philippa's writing and I cannot get enough of her books!!

It is the one I was writing for my graduation exit project, not sure if I told you about it or not. It is about Jane Seymour, the third wife of Henry VIII. I can post what I have written so far in the fan work section if you want. I have only written a few chapters, but I plan to work more on it this summer if I have time.

It just came out, so you might want to wait until it comes in soft cover. I bought it crazy expensive in hard cover because I couldn't wait! Did you read any of Philippa's other books?

I know it is so expensive but I love hardcover!!! It is 30% off right now at Chapters and another 10% with my rewards card so I'm thinking I might just get it now!! Except it won't match all of my other Philippa books which are softcover. I have only read her Tudor series and they were fantastic!!! I know you've read those books, have you read any of her other series? Which ones are your favourite?

Lisa-I read the whole Tudor series except The Virgin's Lover, which I still need to get! I have only read the Tudor series and then The White Queen and now The Red Queen in her Cousin's War series.
macdaddy-I haven't read Wicked, but I have been thinking about reading it. Are you enjoying it?

Yes, thus far it's really interesting...although I pretty much hate all of the "good guys" in the Wizard of Oz now. lol
