Where do u come from Himiko? I'm from the UK, just on the England side of the English/Welsh border *winces*. Just kidding, I like it here really. Even though my hometown doesn't sell nearly enough metal music or Miranda films.

That sounds cool though, well apart from the lack of Miranda films and Metal (WOOoo). Has anyone gone through this stage of really hating where you live for most of your life, then all of a sudden you have a good look then realise that it is infact a great place to live? I have recently gone through this experience lol

I am not too sure what I would ask Miranda if I was ever to see her. I think I will just let the moment take me, and hope it takes me somewhere good!

The part of town where I live is lovely, the problem is, it's practically in the middle of nowhere, and you need transport to get anywhere and I've not passed my driving test yet.

I have recently gone through this experience lol I go through on/off phases of this. Most of the time I really like living in Shrewsbury- we have nice old buildings, a fair few shops, and a big old castle in the middle of town, which is a nice place. Other times I loathe it, and wish I lived somewhere else. Mostly when I can't find something I'm looking for in the shops. Or trying to climb the big hill that is our main shopping street wearing a heavy backpack.

well, weren't it for the isolation of our 50 and somethng-people-village, I'd never ever move away for all the money in the world. It's perfect, the forest is close, the landscape is not exceptionally beautiful, but unspoilt, and we have very little traffic. but then again, we have to use the car every time we want to go somewhere.
btw, I got most of my English from translating Miranda-interviews. Might not have been a good idea to translate them after having had English for only about 3 1/2 years, but there you go, I loved it. It was like a puzzle.

You learnt it from children's programmes Mal? Were there French subtitles or did you kind of just get the jist from what they were doing and pick it up like that?
