Last major stage show was Wallace Shawns 'Aunt Dan and Lemon' in 1999, and her most celebrated stage appearance was the one-woman show of 'Orlando' at Edinburgh in 1996. There is a page on the site for stage work www.miranda-richardson.com/mrstage.htmlthe link is at the bottom of the main page, and in the left margin on all other pages. Also a page of stage pictures www.miranda-richardson.com/mrpics-01.htmlAunt Dan & Lemon was performed less than a year after the site launched, and when there were a lot less people on the iinternet. I had emails from 2 people who met Miranda after the show - one at the stage door and one at the bar. THe person at the stage door asked for an got an autograph, but was refused a photo, she said Miranda looked tired and drained. The person in the bar said that Miranda signed her programme, but seemed a bit prickly about it and definitely wanted to be left alone. After the event, Blue Juice productions allowed me to put some thumbnail pictures on the site, which can be seen on the picture page above.

but dont you love that about miranda...the fact she's not into all that fan and star crap, it defines who she is!
i read in an interview that miranda actually prefers theatre as do many actors jut thought i'd throw that out there

It's understandable that she refused a photo, if I was in her position, I probably would have too. I'd love her to do some theatre, I think she'd be fantastic, but I wouldn't go to the stage door to try and meet her, I'd be too shy.

same goes for me. besides, after doing a performance, she's probably tired and has other things on her mind than craving, lunatic fans.

you can get tom and viv from ebay and amazon (that's where i got it from) it's a brilliant film, much greater than kansa's city where miranda is dopped up for the duration of the film.

As to the stage thing....WHY OH WHY is Miranda not doing stage lately???
I've seen quite a few of my favourite actors on stage and I have to say it is in a different league to watching them on tv. The immediacy and the intimacy is just astounding. I saw Juliet Stevenson last year and I was blown away. I have never seen acting like it.
So I hope and pray she does do a play soon...
I went to the Almeida theatre where 'Aunt Dan and Lemon' was on to see a play a few months ago, and while I was there I was amazed at the tininess of the theatre...how amazing must it have been to see her acting at that close proximity?!!
