Oh god me too....her face is amazing in The Lost Prince...the flickers of repressed emotion get me everytime. It is a fantastic drama. Stephen Poliakoff is a genius. Did you see Gideon's Daughter recently? xx Hello. *waves to everyone* I did see Gideon's Daughter. I thought it was fantastic. I thought both Miranda and Bill Nighy were amazing. I think I've still got it recorded on DVD (I have one of those DVD players that records stuff off the telly) unless my mum has deleted it, like she did with Merlin's Apprentance BEFORE I got the chance to watch it. Grrr.

Wolvie aka Treestump is back from the ether! Yet I admit that I have been guilty of lurking from time to time, however i believe the board's reorganisation has made it easier for me and other 'lost' members to start posting again. I guess I'm a Newbie to most of you, but hopefully that will change soon! xxx

Question, brought to you by the 'omg who has seen her in person' thing.
Does Miranda do theatre? Has she, ever? I know she hasn't since I've been a fan of her, and I don't see any reference to it on the site, but surely she must have, at some point, if she was educated at the old Vic?
Not doing theatre is really something that makes her inaccessible - maybe she likes it that way, and that's why she doesn't. I'm very suprised that none of the regulars here have actually met Miranda, and I would assume that is why?
Many members of the Helen Mirren Appreciation Society (the other fan group I've been part of for years) have met Helen on numerous occasions - enough times for her to remember them, and the late Peter Wright, who founded the group, certainly did. Those meetings were usually after theatre shows (the same way I met Judi Dench, yay).
Do you think her wanting to be private is one of the reasons she doesn't do theatre?

There's a page on the website about things she's done on the stage, but I can't find anything too recent- apart from one off things where she plays herself (like Comic Aid, etc.).
She seems to have done a lot of her stage work in the 1980s, perhaps before she really started making a lot of film and television stuff.
