I wrote this today and thought I should spell check it and blah blah as I really liked it. Hope you do to. There is quite a few twists in it. And I had the idea for this cause we all were dissapointed with Merlin's Apprentice. Though now I realise I saw most of the second half but kind of want to watch the first. But here it is. The way Lady lake should have been and a different script idea. Hope you enjoy, don't be turned off as I mentioned Merlin two it has no one from it:) Enjoy and comment.
Lady of the lake: (looks at her sister as she floats in the water). My lakes are poisoned and yet you do nothing sister. Do you not care if your sister dies in this pit?
Mab: (gravel tone as always) I cannot stop people who no longer follow me from poisoning your streams sister.
Lady of the lake: Then I will have to do something about it. (floats towards the shore).
Mab: Sister you have never left the lake you think this wise?
Lady of the lake: (nods and gently steps down, as she does a delicate soft white foot is placed upon the land).
Mab: Sister I really do protest!
Lady of the lake: (sighs and looks down as her once scale like dress turns into a pure white gown. And her hair falls into long strands around her pale face).
Mab: You look different (tilts her head).
Lady of the lake: Exactly...now I can find out who is the culprit. Who poisons my stream and causes a rain of death upon the people.
Mab: No one will confess to you sister. They are not that plain (rolls her eyes).
Lady of the lake: I will find them and then...
Mab: And then what? (looks at her in wonder).
Lady of the lake: Then they will be punished. For all the bloodshed they have allowed to the people or Camelot.
Mab: You are mad! (sarcastically).
Lady of the lake: (stares at her sister and then places a white hood over her head). We will see who is mad by the end of this little crusade wont we Mab!
Mab: (rolls her eyes and disappears).
Lady of the lake: (walks into Camelot and sees dieing men with women lying on the ground. Liquid dripping from their mouths).
Woman: (walks up to her and gets on her knees). Save us. We need someone to save us. Please help us.
Lady of the lake: I will help you if you tell me who is poisoning the streams.
Woman: (looks up at the huge castle). King Vortigern took over the throne. He beat Arthur. And now...now we have nothing.
Lady of the lake: I thought Vortigern was dead. And Arthur was king?
Woman: No Madame. Vortigern was not dead. He took Mab's advice and won the fight. Now we have him as our king...we have no fresh water. It is all poisoned. People are feeding their children to keep them alive. But the water is ridden with filth, that they all become ill.
Lady of the lake: King Vortigern runs the country now. And what has come of Arthur?
Woman: He is in the dungeons...
Lady of the lake: (cups the woman’s chin). Go to the well and drink some fresh water. Then meet me by the castle gates. Send your people to the well so they may fill buckets with fresh pure water and it may regain their strength.
Woman: Why help us? (looks at her in hope). No one else will.
Lady of the lake: Because I care for the people of Camelot. Even if the King does not as much.
Woman: (nods and looks at some of the people urging the stronger ones to bring buckets).
Lady of the lake: (appears inside King Vortigern's throne room). Vortigern.
Vortigern: That's king Vortigern to you. Guards who is this peasant?
Lady of the lake: (stares at him angrily and makes water appear in a goblet he is holding). Drink it!
Vortigern: (stares at the water and frowns) It is poisoned.
Lady of the lake: Yes. It is the water you have poisoned and the people who are suffering now. Why aren't you helping them?
Vortigern: You can't prove it was me? (walks closer to the woman). Not if you had all the jewels in the kingdom.
Lady of the lake: Do you know who I am Vortigern?
Vortigern: The lady of the lake if I am not mistaken.
Lady of the lake: And you think it right to poison my streams? To ruin my home...
Vortigern: Go find yourself another lake (mockingly).
Lady of the lake: (raises her hand as if to send a powerful surge of magic into him).
Vortigern: (signals his guards).
Guards: (grab her by the wrists and pushes her down on the floor).
Vortigern: Maybe you would like a night in the cells 'lady'.
Lady of the lake: You can't do this to me; I am not a simpleton who won’t fight back.
Vortigern: Call for you sister then, no one is stopping you.
Lady of the lake: (says nothing and stays silent).
Vortigern: Oh I see...you won’t accept her help. You want to prove you can do this alone.
Lady of the lake: All I ask is a simple thing.
Vortigern: But I won’t be doing it. The lakes are on my land. I can use them at my disposal.
Guards: (let go of her and step backwards).
Vortigern: Besides I don't believe in you.
Lady of the lake: (grips her heart and frowns). You'll be the death of me Vortigern.
Vortigern: (mockingly pretends to blow her away).
Lady of the lake: (makes herself disappear).
