are your parents really that strict? I watched Pretty Woman when I was about 11 or 12, and I watched Dance with a Stranger when I was 14 ...

Well, no my parents aren't really strict at all. It's just that my mum isn't realizing that I'm not childish but I'm not completely grown up...I'm stuck in the middle. It seems that my mum's forgotten that I watched Pretty Woman...so I had to pretend that I haven't seen it yet...lol. That was close...*wipes forehead* If I start "acting better" then I'll ask her again about it. She said she only let me see Sleepy Hollow b/c I bugged her so much, but I handled the movie very well. So...maybe If I bring that up she'll let me watch it. St. Ives can't be all that bad...? Mel said it was just in the beginning...? Is it worse than Sleepy Hollow...my mum might let me watch it then...?

My mom's just that strict. What's worse is that she's even noted on many occasions that I'm much more mature than most girls my age. And yet, I still can't watch R rated movies until I'm 17. I've tried reasoning with her numerous times. She didn't buy the whole "Sheri's 10, three years younger than 13 and I'm 14, three years younger than 17" (which, now I'm 15) and I've tried telling her that it's not like I'm going to go out and start trying what they do in them (I was a bit moody that day so I snapped at her and said "Oh, I saw Sleepy Hollow yesterday. You know what, chopping off heads looks like fun! I think I'll try it soon" very sarcastically). And most of the stuff in them I already see on TV anyways. So I don't know why she's like that.

I love the cutting off heads comment...very funny Mel!! Heh.
It just so happens that I made a deal with my dad. If I help my mum clean up the house, then my dad's going to have a little talk with her. He's gonna talk about how mature I am, and that I should be able to watch R movies...ooh I'm so excited!!! YAY!!! *jumps for joy*

My parents would just laugh if I said that. They'd never believe me and they'd think I would stop after a week. Which I wouldn't, of course.

Yeah, but my dad is like...way different from other dads. He's Jewish...which tends to make a difference, they act differently from other people...anyway. My dad will let me do anything!! And I mean...ANYTHING...once he was smoking a cigar and actually asked me if I wanted a puff. Lol, he was most likely kidding....but it's like him to say stuff like that. Hehe, my dad's crazy...He broke his foot recently, and he's supposed to use crutches. He just goes walking around the house as if nothing's wrong! Lol...

Ouch! Really? That would hurt! I'm having a hard time walking around right now. Here's the story.
Okay, I was on my way to bed last night when I went to get my pajamas. I brought them into my room and threw them on my bed. As I was going around to get changed into them, I stubbed my toe on my metal bedpost. It was funny because I didn't say anything, I just stared at my toe because I'd split the nail and it was beginning to bleed. Only when I realized I'd get blood everywhere that I began to move. I ended up bleeding a lot, it just wouldn't stop! It's bandaged now, but we're pretty sure I might've broken my toe and my mom's pretty sure my nail will fall off. I think it's kind of interesting, but that's what makes me weird. That and just staring at it I guess.

Oh my...didn't it hurt? Lol...that is kinda interesting...I guess. I do the same thing when I hurt myself...I just stare. I mean, I have a blood-stained rug b/c my foot was bleeding, and I just stood there...like an idiot, just looking at my bloody foot. Lol...weird.
One time at ballet we were doing grand bat mas (sp. the kicks...lol) So, I did one to the back, and my instructor cam up behind me and suddenly grabbed my leg. I was so surprised by the "turn of events" that I lost my balance and fell forward (it was also the force from him grabbing me) Anyway...it turns out, I broke my wrist...so, I came back to class the next day, only to find him laughing at my cast saying "Do you need a bandaid?" He loves the word bandaid, b/c everyone thinks he pronounces it funny...being Ukranian and all...he just wouldn't stop saying that....argh. It was a horrible day...lol.

Okay, now I see why you don't like him. I bet it hurt. I took off my bandaid today, it's not broken, but it looks as though someone took a knife and kind of sliced my toe. I had to baby-sit so I kept telling the kids to be careful of my icky toe.
My friend broke her leg a few years ago in a dance class. I asked her what she was doing, but she wasn't quite sure what she was doing either. By how she described it, I think she was trying to do a switch leap or something (which I'm still having such a hard time with).
Okay, I seriously think that woman's trying to torture me! She made it so that Ballet IV-VI, the class I've been taking for years now, was at the same time as Jazz III/IV, the class I'm planning on taking. So I have to take Ballet III-V with all the annoying girls. If you're wondering, Jazz only goes up to level IV here and Ballet goes up to level VI.

Woah...that's so stupid. You should always be put with people that are on the same level (advanced-wised)
Sorry about you're toe...It's hurting ME just thinking about it.
Just so you know, my ballet teacher is away, in Philedelphia (sp) and won't be back until next week. So...I have a wonderful ballet and pointe class with the outstanding substitute instructor, Lena. She's so good, and she's nice too...and funny, anyway. She acts exactly like my Latin teacher, who is also a ballet mistress (was) ...they even look alike. Strange. My jazz class was SO much fun with MELANIE!!! Yay, I love Melanie. I have a feeling she likes me in her class...I'm kinda like her favorite. Oh...gosh, it's like teachers pets and stuff...lol. Not that bad though...anyway. We're going to be learning TONS of different dances...expereminting with all the styles of jazz...lyrical, and modern, stuff like that. We already learned 3/4 of a short dance...it's great!!
Okay...I'm rambling...but, as I said, I like to talk.

Is it worse than Sleepy Hollow...my mum might let me watch it then...? It's definitely not as bad as Sleepy Hollow anyway. As I told Mel while she was buying it, the only nudity really is a bunch of males running through a bath, and Mel might be talking about how he has an affair at the very beginning of the film, but it doesn't show any nudity, they're just smooching in bed. Other than that, no reason for Rated R, and I really don't see how that rates anyway. So even if you don't get the rules changed, it should fly with the 'rents!

Okay, is mine different or something, because they showed nudity in the affair part. And I don't remember a part with a bath...when's that?

Well, I'm rather confused...lol. Thanks for the info Kemmellie! I can probobly convince my mum to let me watch it then...she's starting to ease up right now anyway. I'm sucking up so badly, and she obviously loves it...hehe.

So, what sucking up methods are you using?

Hmm...well, we're do I begin?
I cleaned up most of the playroom, which was a complete mess...things go in but the don't come out...lol (plus, my dad said if I helped her out, he'd talk with her about the rated R movie thing) So, I'm pretty much killing 2 birds with one stone...as they say. Then I cooked dinner, which I love to do anyway, I didn't bother my mum AT ALL while she was watching the news and stuff. I took care of my sister, so she wouldn't be bothering my mum...and then lastly, I did everything there is to do to take care of the pool. (checking chemicals, water level, the pump, water pressure...blah blah blah.) Anyway...I think I'm really getting on her good side, except when the hair dresser cut my hair too short (layered) I nearly had a nervous breakdown b/c I can't braid my hair anymore, without it looking odd. I'm still mad about that though...*pouts*
