3 hours? Ouch. Is it English, or something similar, perchance? I know a few people who do such subjects, and they all seem to have long exams. I do Maths, in which all exams are 1.5 hours, Computing where its the same, and two History exams (1 hr, and 1.75 hours)

70% in chemistry? Sounds a bit hopeful - but I was always crap at Chemistry. I decided to give that one up after spilling a bubbling combination of elements-not-meant-to-be-combined all over my desk - and hands. And yeesh, the number of times we were mixing clear liquids and I managed to produce something bright yellow... I felt like I was in bloody Hogwarts! And no, the 3 hr one is philosopy - we have three hour long papers straight. *cringe* But I don't envy you with the Maths and Computing! Yeah, I do history - we had to go to a lecture today. This examiner guy was rattling on and showing us sources, and asked us to identify this chap in the background of a Nazi photo... Pompous Examiner Guy: Well, I don't expect any of you to know - his name is Wilhelm Frick. Me: *piercing shriek* FRIK!!! *guttural noise of disgust* Pompous Examiner: *intensely disapproving look* Well, if you knew why didn't you just say so? Me: *melts into a puddle*

Ah, we're studying the Nazis in History at the moment- I was one of the only few people who remembered the name.
Friend: How did you remember that bloke's name?! Me: Well, see, there's this Merlin character called... Friend: *begins hitting head against desk* Not again...

lmfao, sounds about right. I'm sure that's the only part of the syllabus I'll remember now.
Chief Examiner's Conciliatory Note at Bottom of Failed Exam Paper: You had a very thorough grounding in one particular figure in Nazi history - unfortunately, it was one who was barely mentioned in the entire Seeds of Evil course, and was in no way to connected to the question being asked. I suspect you are confusing his importance with that of Adolf Hitler's.
Me: *wail* But 'the Seeds of Evil' has GOT to be referring to Frik! Hang, on wait...
Chief Examiner's Conciliatory Note at Bottom of Failed Retake Paper: Who the Hell is Merlin?!?

On the exam thing. Yessss! Most of them are over as of today! *does happy dance of 10-days-exam-break* I had no idea doing a 6-hour English exam, a 6-hour French one and a 4-hour maths one in four days could be so evil. But now, at last, ten glorious days of number-freedom with a bit of Latin-revision and gearing up for History .... I pity you guys on having to do NS Germany. I've been doing it so often that I could probably regurgitate it in my sleep. Never heard of Herrn Frick, though ... not that I recall at least. But he shall be ingrained into my brain as of now as the guy who, on top of following a dumbnut ideology that was puzzled together from bits and pieces out of the ideologic waistbin of the 19th century, has the name of a treacherous, slimey git. A propos names, I find it highly amusing that Hitler's original name was Schicklgruber. Personally, I think that the world would have been spared much misery if his mother hadn't remarried. With that name, he'd have thought twice before going into politics ...

You had no idea? Just from reading '6hr exam', the word evil is tirelessly repeating itself in my head! Hah, I LOLed at that - even if he did, not many people would have turned up to his speeches.

well, 6hr-exams aren't that bad if you're not doing two in a row. you have plenty of time to think about everything and to plan and structure.
Besides, did you know that in WWI, Hitler's military superiours wrote about him that he was very eager but had absolutely no leadership-qualities? Somehow, the word "Cassandra" is coming to my mind.

Ah, Tosca, you did the unit called "Seeds of Evil" as well? Is it for the Edexcel AS History Course, perchance, because mine last year was called the same thing. I did "The Triumph of Bolshevism" and a unit of Charles I for coursework, too.
Sorry, end random.

Yup, that's the one - and the others I did were The Norman Conquest for the coursework, and African American Civil Rights. ^^ We just got our rough coursework mark back today, which caused many panic attacks amongst the more conscientious of my classmates.

Sounds like my computing class, LOL. Well, we don't have our marks back yet, but put it this way, we're not holding out high hopes.
Ah, sounds like fun. I want to do History like the Normans- with the exception of Charles I, all our History has been fairly recent- Nazism, Bolshevism, the decline of the British Empire- where is the further back stuff! *cries*
