They've cut so much from those movies, I'm surprised there's any sort of storyline left to go with.

Yeah. I hate it that they cut so much! I think I will call the directors and tell them! But seriously, I would hate it if Rita didn't appear in the last book (book seven)... It would be a shame to have zero Miranda in the two last movies.

Yeah, especially when she wasn't really in the fourth one much either. I have a feeling book seven will be Rowling's way of inviting a bunch of new characters while still semi-keeping the old ones. They'll be in there, just not quite as much. Maybe she's gotten complaints from people that they were getting bored of the school setting or the characters...? I don't know, just one of my many hypotheses.

Oh! I was voted member of the month in book club! I'm so excited! I got a $5 gift certificate to a nearby bookstore.

WHAT? ? NO RITA IN OotP?? what a shame! what a tragedy! Shame on whoever did this, shame on you! but they really cut so many subplots, my sister didn't get half the fourth movie because she only read until the third book.

My brother only read half of the fourth book, but he knew the ending and I filled him in on everything else either before or after we saw it.
I miss Chris Colombus as the director. I thought the first two movies kept to the books and characters a lot better than the last two.

it's ovious that they cannot put every little thing into the movies, but I think the person who decided what to put in and what not didn't do a very good job. the dragon-scene was far too long. and there was too much teenager stuff.

incap - they get themselves thousands of fans with that teenager stuff. don't forget WHO actually watches the movies and who reads the books!
why else was book 6 so full of ... EEK!!
and i'm still too sure that JKR doesn't even write the books herself.

Oooh, I've seen the interview at the GOF premiere! It was so great! I was talking on MSN and my friends were worried because I kept talking about Miranda being so gorgeous!

that's nothing to worry about. I loved the way she was esturing with her arms while she talked. it seemed much more alive than the interviews of the others.

I've not seen that interview, and I can't get the sound to work in the clip . The speakers on my computer are working fine cos I'm listening to music as I type.

She basically says that she's not in the next film *and the world weeps*
I could watch her talk for hours, seriously...
