I'm planning to be an interpreter.

Wow, nice.. I considered that at one point, then I decided it wasn't dynamic enough and gave up all my languages. *deep regret* How many languages are you planning to interpret, Incapa?

well, English (Wow, I love stating the obvious), French, maybe Spanish, and either Greek or Dutch (which is quite similar to the dialect spoken in my area, so yeah). And I have my lovely Latin in case I should decide to pick up Italian as well. It's already helped me tons with Spanish.
What languages did you take?

Careers wise, I'm hoping to be able to teach Maths, either at Secondary School or above. (Sad, isn't it?...) I've pretty much wanted to teach my entire life (corrupting the next generation and all that), so hopefully, if all goes well with university, I'm going to do a three year Maths degree, and then apply for Teacher training.

I'm planning on going into publishing. Editing, to be more specific. I just have to decide whether I want to be a book editor (which would mean majoring in English) or a magazine/newspaper editor (which would mean majoring in Journalism).

Mathy teacher would be an insane job, Himiko. I'm going for high school English.
And LadyGiry, those are both wonderful careers. ;D

Wow, I think I'm the only one who has no clue what to do. The careers all sound fantastic, guys! Well, err, with the exception of Maths teacher of course. The languages I used to do were French, Spanish, and Latin. *insanely sad face* I got an A* in all three in my GCSEs... dunno what I was on when I gave them up. And may I just add WOWWW, Greek and Dutch!!!

well, it's not like I know any Greek yet, but that's one of the languages the offer without requiring any pre-knowledge. Which I find pretty cool.
And, Gosh, maths?!?! I'll never forget how happy I was to get rid of that for my entire life ... But each to their own, I say.

Fair enough- I had that feeling with many of my other subjects. The instant I finished my GCSE science exams, I remember thinking "I NEVER HAVE TO DO THIS BASTARDISING STUFF AGAIN!" and doing a small commemorative jig.

Yes, I felt somewhat the same... only to get deflated a few months down the line, as it turns out I do have to take Biology at least if I want to go any further with psychology. It sucks greatly. *grumble*

Annoyance, I wonder why you have to take Bio to go into Psych. Though it does suck since they believe that anyone who is taking Bio is going into the sciences so they make it very hard for everyone.
I just found out I have to take a speaking class which I took in another college but apparently it isn't close enough to what they offer so have to take again.

Well, I wasn't completely accurate either, as it turns out, as we had to do a couple of Mechanics modules, which is very much the "physics" part of Maths. Thankfully I never had to take Physics as a full subject though, just those modules.

Yeah, physics was pure hate. The only interesting looking parts, about astrology and etc, were the ones they missed out at my school. ^^

All I remember of GCSE Physics was an unending stream of failure, from always getting the fucked-up plug in the "plug re-wiring" exercise, that wouldn't fit together, to forgetting half the units, to the most mind numbing coursework imaginable.

I had an annoying Teacher in Physics, she didn't know how to teach it. She ended up even confusing herself when she was trying to explain things. worst class ever.
