Lovely, Fran!!! Hmm... I guess I would start and stay in dresses with corsets and pettilooms and hoopskirts, hehe. Eighteenth-century style for me! Besides, those dresses ACTUALLY become me, whereas a lot of the dresses today are made for flat-chested, pencil-thin girls, which is about 3% of the population. Fashion designers should make hip dresses for EVERY body type. Sorry for the rant, I just have a hard time finding dresses that I can pull over my chest...cries.... . I can't wait to lose weight, so I can shop at all the designer stores, and stray from the norm even more, hehehe.

Thanks for the info., Nessa. My mum wanted to know. She had heard that word in a phrase, and didn't know what they were. For that matter, neither did I, hehehe. I do like salmon, but detest herring. My Swedish papa eats it pickled, ugh!!!!

I do like salmon, but detest herring. My Swedish papa eats it pickled, ugh!!!! Ooo, I just adore pickled herring!! Especially when prepared in a tomato or curry sauce.Mmm! So I gather that you are half Swedish, Christina? My mum is Norwegian and half Danish. Well its a bit more complicated than that..But I'm part Scandinavian to say the least. (And subsequently 'forced' fed herrings from an early age.) xxx

I wish I were 1/2 Swedish!!!! I am only 1/4. My mum is 1/2, and my papa is 100%. I also have Dutch too, another northern European nationality. I basically look like a Swedish/British mix, hehehe. That is what I mostly consist of. 25% Swedish, and I am also english, irish, scottish, welsh, dutch, french, german, and a tad cherokee indian. One of my friends told me once that I didn't look American, and I thanked her profusely!!! Hooray for a fellow Scandinavian!!! Another Viking descendant!!! Some of my family still live in Sweden, in Kalmar, a city on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea. My papa eats pickled herring, and when I go to a VASA meeting, they serve herring. VASA is an organization that is mainly in Scandinavia and America, and they are devoted to keeping Scandinavian holidays and traditions. For St. Lucia day on December 14th, I have to attend a Lutheran Church. My papa's older brother married a Norwegian lady who is 100%, and there children are 1/2 Swedish/ 1/2 Norwegian. They have freckles all over. I thought I had a lot of freckles, hah! Most of my freckles have faded, but when I was a child, I had a lot on my face. Now they have moved down to my shoulders and my arms, hehehe. Anyhow, glad to have a fellow Viking descendant in Mirandatia!!!
