Just had to pop on this thread and add something!
First of all: Kate Bush. Listen to any of her songs. Please! Especially 'Hounds of Love' or 'Running Up That Hill'!
Anyway, listen to Top of the World by Dixie Chicks. I really liked it when I heard it so just thought you guys might like to listen. It is a good song.
I never know how to phrase an opinion. Everything I type either looks too twee or over-done or sounds strange to me. Hope I manage to get across some degree of normality when I attempt it!

absolutley, normal is just well... normal. Better to be different and yeah i find it hard to phrase things too sometimes, especially if i'm in a certain frame of mind

I agree with the non-goodness of normality! Don't worry, I would never wish to be normal! Heh. I just meant that phrasing things and sounding human is sometimes not an easy thing to do!

Gah I hate the word normal - usually only because people in any environment have their own ideas about how it is constructed, and therefore nothing supposedly normal is the same, so how can it be normal?? Plus in certain environments I feel like I fit in with the majority, and in others I don't - so what does that make me? Just me.

There are no words for what i was lucky enough to experience on Thursday night...Will Young live.
I literally can't find the words, it was just everything i wanted in a concert...he sang with the sort of passion that can only be imagined, he was completely mesmeric and his emotion was so apparent...i just believed everything he sang had happened to him and he was sharing it with us.
He did a version of 'hey Ya' and i never thought that that song could mean anything, but when he sang it it really moved me.
I could go on, but i won't! Just w-o-w is about all i can come up with! (sorry that was a bad bad account!)

Beani, love that- just me, yey!
I'll just second everything Char said about Will, as i too cannot find the words....just wow, i've hardly ever felt that emotional at a concert.
But such an amazing experience.

Well, so sorry for the double post but wanted to tell you Beani what i thought of Krezip, cos i listened to them! I thought they were great, loved the way her voice commanded you, and as i said before, the lyrics are just sublime. Not usually the kind of music i'd listen to, which makes it all the more of a triumph!! Fanx! xxxxxxx

Indeed it is, but I guess that is the beauty of it - encouraging others to adopt different tastes
