I hardly ever clothes shop. Seriously, even though I go to college in our town centre I never go clothes shopping. Partly because my friends (nearly all boys) don't want to, partly because it would detract far too much from my CD and book-browsing time. I spend too much money on music and not enough on clothes *glances greedily at Nightwish CDs- must...get...more...*
I'm also fairly clueless about clothes and their retail outlets. I remember I went to Berlin with my old secondary school, and when we were out shopping, our teacher announced that "Good news! There is a H&M in this shopping centre!" Many others cheered. I looked on in bemusement, until eventually I had to shuffle over to one of my few female friends and ask her what H&M was. I received many strange looks. I didn't go to H&M that day, I went to the "Ampelmann (sp?)" shop instead, and bought a lovely Ampelmann t-shirt, which I still wear to this day.

do you mean the old DDR-Ampelmann? he's really cute, the ones we have today are so boring. I hate shopping clothes as well. first LOOKING at those tons of shirts and trousers that look all the same to me, and then, when you've found something you might be able to squeeze yourself into, trying it on in those devilishly nasty cabins.
*runs away, screaming to cover up her loss for woeds*

DEBENHAMS!!!! Og how I love that shop! And Lillies! And Top Shop, and...Oh! All places where I can buy that stuff. A thing I miss about London is to go to the big bookstore with a Starbucks in the middle and just sit and relax there every morning.

Ah! Bookshops! Now you and I are on the same wavelength. I love bookshopping. Borders is a great bookshop (and it usually comes with a Starbucks attached), but we don't have one here in Shrewsbury, so I usually go to WH Smiths or Waterstones. Both great shops.

Ahhhhhhhh Waterstones, now THERE is a wonderful shop! I could quite easily live in there! In the one close to where I live they have lovely cosy sofas all around the shop so you can sit down and well..er...read!!They also sell really random things like magnetic Shakespere poetry that I got from there and you stick it to your fridge, well I've got mine on the radiator in my room! Its so much fun!!Then on the top floor there is a Costa Coffee (like Starbucks for anyone who doesn't know) which sells almond macaroons that are just too georgeous that its almost dangerous! *gets craving for almond macaroon* *starts drooling*

wow. in the bookshop in our town it's really tiny but very well sorted, and if you order something they're usually REALLY fast. and they have a nice sofa and some coffee or tea standing around as well ... and the shop-people are very very nice.

pity me guys! until the end of march I shall have to stop reading books that have nothing to do with the oregon trail, cos I have to write a huge homework on that topic in english. forgotten is doing hers in biology. just out of interest, would any of you volunteer to check my text for grammar and spelling mistakes once it's ready? because it will count as much as the grades from two written tests this term and it's kinda important ...
