Well, being cold is easier to deal with. Just get a blanket, sweater, etc. When it's hot you need air conditioning, cold shower, pool, etc. Plus, a sweater you can maintain longer. You wouldn't go swimming for 10 hours, but you can wear a sweater for 10 hours.
