So has anyone seen Maleficent? Do we know for sure whether Miranda is in it or not?

Yes, I have. She's definitely not in. It was a pretty terrible film, so that's probably a good thing.

Thanks - its a pity, with the films high profile that they cut her part out, but if its terrible....don't think I'll bother seeing it now...

But why isn't she in it anymore? I thought she was one of the first, that had been cast for that movie.. and didn't she give an interview on her role already??? Why why why :-( I wanted to watch that film and I wanted to watch it because of her!

I just saw the Maleficent movie tonight and I thought it was amazing!!! I loved Angelina Jolie and the entire movie!! Which is rare, because I expected them to rely too much on shiny, shiny special effects instead of a good story like most big-budget american films. But I really liked the story. Maleficent felt so much like Mab. All the things she did throughout the movie are things I could clearly see Queen Mab doing. Maleficent had a sense of wicked humor! It was cute! And Aurora was on Maleficent's side! How about that! "Mab" actually had an ally for once!

Yeah sure - maybe Miss Jolie took a bit acting training from Miranda - I believe she said something like that... (about trying to make her voice sound like an english - theatre actress) - so who knows?
But seriously, why was there not comment about Mirandas apparent departure from that project, even though she had been one of the first that were casted?
Has she been cut out or did she do scenes for that movie at all? Aren't you curious what they would have looked like?
That sucks!
I wanted to see her and Angelina in that movie and not just Prof. Umbridge :-(

Prof. Umbridge was in the film and it was funny because, once again, she was dressed in pink! XD poor woman can't escape that color.
Who knows what happened with Miranda? There will be other movies for her. And even if she had gotten in, it unfortunately probably would have been a really small part. Maleficent, followed by Aurora and crow character (who was Maleficient's buddy ala Frik but cuter), had the most screen time. Nobody else got much screen time. I like seeing Miranda in movies where she gets lots of screen time instead of being a side character in the background who only says one line, if she gets to speak at all.
