Oh my GOD!!!!!! Did anybody else see this movie??!!!! If you have posted anything I am sorry I missed it, I always get so lost on here!!! It was pure AWSOMENESS!!!!! I was just so excited the entire time, everything about it is perfection!!!! I am going to see it again on the weekend with some people who haven't seen it yet and I am so looking forward to it its crazy!!!! This movie is oxygen!!!! I would watch it every day if I could. Miranda was very provocative! And the rest of the cast was brilliant!! I watched it too! You're right! The movie is perfection! Even better than the last one! The special effects are superb and beautiful scenery! I love the whole cast! ;D I was annoyed that they kept mentioning Rita and you don't see her in person! I enjoyed watching them the most: Emma, Helena, Bill Nighy, Rupert, Ralph Fiennes and Rhys Ifans (Luna's father) Bathilda Bagshot is so scary! Even though the film has such a serious tone, there's still some comic relief, phew! Especially Fred and George! Makes me want to watch more films with this type of witty humor! The best part is when Harry, Ron and Hermione are at the Ministry of Magic! ;D

Oh I know!!! As soon as I saw Bathilda it was just *shudders*. I loved seeing Bill in a Harry Potter movie!! He was so cool!!! It is too bad he isn't in Part Two. I went crazy every time Malfoy Manor was on screen because I knew Helena was coming. It was awsome!!! She was perfect!! She was so creepy and deranged, and she was so Helena at the same time!! I loved it!! I also really liked the Ralph Fiennes and Emma scenes. I don't want to say too much but I thought her first scene was brilliant!! I am so happy they added that to the film. I loved the Ministry of Magic scenes as well, I have always been really excited to see that part and seeing it on screen was just amazing! It was really realy well done! And I LOVE Umbridge!!!!! Omg I actually screamed Nooooooo!!! When the screen went dark at the end of the movie, I didn't realise I was doing it out loud and I forgot I was in the theatre. A few people laughed at me! XD I don't think I was alone though, I am pretty sure I heard some other people including one of the girls I went with! I don't think they had Miranda's name in te credits, did you see it? I was actually loving the credits, I didn't stay after they showed the title because my friends wanted to go, but what I did see was really cool!! If it wasn't in those names I am sure it is in the full list, it would just be cool if she was included in the first ones!! But I know.... her part wasn't that big.

!!!Watch out: SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERSI am sorry, but I get the feeling I have watched a different movie than you. ...Well, it did have its moments -even though I was annoyed at knowing how much good material (aka Rita scenes) have hit the cutting room floor-. The camera man who was responsible for the handheld cam must have been drunk or something. Never before have I seen so much shaking and such awful pan shots as by this guy. He basically ruined the movie for me. I can not enjoy the facial expressions of someone if I am getting dizzy by the camera work. So I couldn't get into the whole mood of it all. The emotions just couldn't flow. I haven't read the book, but if this whole lets-re-do-Lord-of-the-Rings-Harry-Potter-style scenes are in it, I am not so sure I want to. There were continuity mistakes (let's dry the guys clothes and if the audience asks just pretend Ron used a spell or something) ... there were soap-opera-like moments (that whole 'ball of light right into my heart'-thing? *retch*) ... I am sorry, but maybe I have enjoyed the other parts too much to like this one. Yes, it had its good moments - and hey, Ralph Fiennes Voldemort is awesome - but there was so much ... I don't know, it felt as if they had left too much out. They didn't even explain how Lucius Malfoy went from 'Rawr, I'm the man.' to 'Hick, I'm a f*cked up caricature of my former self.' I think the only time I really cringed was when Hermione screamed as Bellatrix tortured her. (Then again - did they leave something out? Harry didn't so much as wince when the Umbridge Quill cut a sentence into his hand, but Hermione basically dies from the pain when a sentence is cut into her forearm? I am confused!) Oh well, maybe I have to watch it again sometime and make sure I sit in the last row, so I can overlook the screen better and not get dizzy. I guess I'm not the only one who never read the Harry Potter books. But to confess, I can't bring myself to watch the films either. I tried to sit through the first half of Goblet of Fire because I wanted to see M.R. but right after her first scene I couldn't go on. It's not that I am criticizing Harry Potter. It's just not my cup of tea.

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERSThat is a good idea, the spoiler thing!! Seeing that word so many times it looks weird, did I spell it wrong? Cira that is ok. The part where Hermione is being tortured is not just Bellatrix cutting into her arm, Hermione is being subject to the full force of the cruciatus curse, the torture curse, which is why she is screaming so badly. I remember from when the Half Blood Prince came out, the majority of the people who hated it were people who hadn't read the books, and the majority of the people who loved it like crazy were the ones who had read the books. I'm not saying it is like that in every case but it was common. Maybe that's why you didn't like it. For whatever reasons the other people had for hating it. That and the camera shots like you said. Also I do understand that not everyone likes Harry Potter, like Ami said. I just know I love the heck out of it and it is pure brilliance in my eyes!!!! I grew up with it though so I have to love it!!! I have been reading it and watching the movies since I was six and I have been hooked ever since!! I loved the film overall...I was disappointed that Alan Rickman got one scene (even though I knew it would happen because of the books) and there was ONE PHOTO of Miranda, but Helena was fantastic as usual. I enjoyed the hand held camera idea, because they only used it occasionally and they still used a steady cam within the same scenes. I think the only problem I had was the hallucination with Harry and Hermione...I just thought it was taken a wee bit too far...but apparently that's just me according to all of my friends. lol!

Katherine, they didn't cut any Rita scenes from Deathly Hallows. Rita didn't *have* any scenes in DH. Although I had hoped they would add some (preferably with Bill to fuel my Rita/Rufus fangirlyness), I thought they were remarkably true to the way Rita was presented in the book. It was just like that. Her voice as the author of this sordid tale about Dumbledore, somehow believed by everyone. She got to be all sassy and mess with people's heads without running the risk of having herself killed/her hair messed up, which honestly I imagine is exactly how she would have wanted it *g*. I do hope we get an actual scene from her in part two - she was said to be *cast*, after all, and I think it rather unsporting of them to say that they cast her and then do nothing but feature shots of her that they took from GoF - but they didn't take anything away from her character in this film (that all happened in the one she *did* appear in)

Miranda said in some interview apparently recently about rita got a wand and such, so fingers crossed we get that in the next one, plus it's a bit weird if we have the pic of her in the red/black get up but we don't see her in the film in it. Hopefully we'll get something in the second.

fellow fan and friend michelle told me, but we dunno which one it was, I have searched many terms on google but have not found it. But they must have something of her in dh 2 cause why put her in a new outfit and not shoot scenes? The new picture and outfit wasn't in part 1 so it needs to be in part 2. Fingers crossed. If she does get a wand they need to make a rita skeeter wand replica.

Ooooh, I want to see the wand! I hope it's green *lol*. (And I'd totally but a replica! I'm in the middle of figuring out how to make my own Quick Quotes Quill ... wihtout the magic though.)
Well, I'm confused - I thought she was supposed to turn up in the 7.1. So the promo shot in which she looks white as a sheet is for 7.2? *bleep* (...maybe I should read the book after all *lol*. Or just skim it so I know where Rita could fit in.)

I wondered that too. So I had a look at DH pt 2 on IMDb, and it has almost everyone listed for Part 2 as well (including Bill Nighy, but not Brendan Gleeson, which is interesting, because I can't think of what cause they might have for a Scrimgeour flashback BUT IT GIVES ME HOPE). So either they don't know who appears in what and have just put everyone's name down, or Rita (and Rufus, yay) will actually be showing up in part 2.
