Let's discuss about "Caitlin"... Do you think it will be a huge sucess have your saying ;D all of you have a fantastic week! Avalon SOURCE:Actor News - 15-07-07 Pierce Brosnan and Rosamund Pike to star in `Caitlin` Pierce Brosnan and Rosamun Piked, who starred in the 2002 James Bond film "Die Another Day", will be together again for the 2008 production "Caitlin". Rosamund Pike has been cast as Young Caitlin Thomas, with Miranda Richardson taking the older role. The film's story surrounds a love affair started in a Bloomsbury pub in the spring of 1936. A young Irish dancer called Caitlin Macnamara sat on a stool at the bar: blonde, blue-eyed and drinking gin. To the drunken Welsh poet who staggered towards her through the smokey fug of The Wheatsheaf, she appeared an angelic beauty. And when finally the poet reached her, eccentrically laying his head in her lap, he mumbled a proposal of marriage. This unorthodox first encounter between Dylan Thomas and his wife is a central part of the Bohemian mythology that surrounds the memory of one of Britain's best loved creative talents. The story is being financially backed by actor Pierce Brosnan, a devoted Thomas fan, who will also play the poet's agent John Malcolm Brinnin. Caitlin is to be directed by Marc Evans and the screenplay has been written by Jeff Murphy. It is scheduled for release in 2008.

I hope Manda's hair is blonde that will be fab:DI need the trailer dam them for not releasing it yet lol

:(Unfortunately I don't think this film will see the light of day any time soon. It is still in the very early stages of pre-production (and therefore has not even begun filming) and doesn't look to be made in the next year at the very least. The 2008 release date is almost certainly out of the window considering the time it takes to make and release films (especially British ones) these days. Let's hope it does get made eventually, as it is most certainly an Oscar-friendly role for Miranda.

Yay and then we can see her on tv excepting the award. "I would like to thank the crazy Miranda fans" hehe That would be amazing. I wonder if she actually knows about us! Anyway, Caitlin sounds like an interesting film. I'm just wondering how much of Miranda we'll actually see in the film. I know it's called Caitlin, but does anyone know if it'll focus on the character as a younger woman or be more centred around her as an older woman.

Yeah, the release of the movie is looking kind of complicated, but I'm expecting so much, because it looks an amazing role for Miranda, and the story looks quite appealing. I hope that they would focus more in the mature Caitlin, not just because of Miranda, of course she counts a lot, but I would say that movie was more interesting if it showed Caitlin as woman, not a young girl.

well everywhere it says Miranda richardson in the leading role of Caitlin so fingers crossed I know she is the lead. Hope they don't show much of back then. I would mind if Miranda played her younger self lol. Anyway I look forward to this so much and Miranda should be in almost every scene in my opinion:)

I hope this movie does well, but it saddens me to admit, I am not sure that it will. If you look at the sorts of movies that do well these days (in America anyway) they are a totaly different gender. People are closed minded, if you ask me. It baffles me that we miss out on so many interesting films because of that.

Well, Miranda tends to be in a lot of crappy movies lol. If this one is a big role it might be decent. She tends to do well playing real people.
