Found this and in response to did herself 'Emily Blunt' faint or almost faint on set this is what she said. It says how Miranda claimed she didn't mind it tight and went pale then almost had a panic attack. Sounds really horrible xxx poor Miranda Q: Did you ever faint wearing those corsets? EB: I got close to it. Miranda Richardson was the one who had the closest call, after claiming she was amazing in the corset and that she could take it as tight as anyone wanted. We call it in the UK, she "pulled a whitey;" she literarily went white. She was sitting at the table and she was talking and she suddenly just went...and she was like, "Get me out of it!" and had a panic attack. End article www.huffingtonpost.com/brad-balfour/actress-emily-blunt-reign_b_403159.htmlMe: I think she just meant she is amazing as in she is perfectly fine with them. I don't think she was tooting her own horn that she looked amazing. Though she does in corsets XD

Ya you can't help panic attacks, Miranda said she is usually good in corsets but something happened that time. You just start freaking out or hyperventilating and whatever else. I don't really know what happened but it could have been that the corset was a little too tight. Even if it wasn't it probably would have happened anyway. One time I was going around the city, and usually we are really fine with it, but my friend just started having a panic attack and was freaking out and saying that we had to go home. A short while later she was ok again and we could continue on to where we were going, but when she was having it, it was so bad that we actually did turn around to go home. Panic attacks are scary, I feel really bad for Miranda!!!! That would have been terrible!!

I don't even think it has necessarily to do with her being in a corset. Mostly fainting and panic attacks are related to your circulatory system, and are mostly caused by dehydration, a low blood sugar level or simply by being too hot. And being in a corset doesn't exactly help matters. Poor miranda, I feel sorry for her, too.

Poor Miranda! I don't think I could take the corsets myself!

Awwwww poor chick, I myself am terrible with corsets especially ones which are ridiculously tight. Never had a panic attack cos of them though I cannot stand anything near my neck as that makes me majorly freak out and sometimes I have to totally refuse to sit in the back seat of a car with other people. Put me in a bone crushing corset and I'm fine though Anyway hope she's alright, and yes it probably would be the circulation she always looks perfect to me whatever she wears anyway.

If someone tried to do a costume too tight on me I'd be like 'wowww I can't breathe' or 'loosen it...I am sure later I'll collapse' XD

Providing it was below my neck I'd be like 'ak just cut the circulation off, who needs oxygen and blood' Then try put a loose scarf round my neck 'AHHHH!'

MaryVanTassel, You wear corsets? I didn't know women still did that in our day and age. I'm sorry this story made me laugh that they tied it so tightly on Miranda that they cut off her circulation. I'm not laughing that it happened to her or that she almost fainted - but at how stupid the wardrobe people were.

Know what...? That was really uncool of Emily Blunt to reveal that to the whole world. I am sure MR doesn't want the whole world to know about her panic attack. Not Cool. But I have to admit I did laugh at first....

Yeah I was slighty irked by Emily Blunt's attitude towards it...it sorta seems childish, if you know what I mean. One could say: ok, serves Miranda right for boasting. But fainting or feeling faint can have so many reasons - like I mentioned above, it usually has to do with having low blood sugar, being dehydrated or simply by being too hot. And I didn't laugh, since it really is scary.

Hey guys! First time posting in a long time! There is also a youtube video of Blunt talking about the situation... www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMpsykcx1k0Some of you have got to chill about the whole situation, Miranda was okay, in the well trained hands of the crew.

Yes, you are taking it way too hard. I wasn't laughing at MR - I love her, she's a great actress. But the discription by EB of how she keeled over and scream get out of it is funny. It's funny that a corset (a piece of clothing) would do that to someone. Can you imagine what it was like for everyday women back in the day? torture.

It's not about Miranda's health, but fainting itself (or feeling like suffocating that is) IS a scary thing. And I still lack to see the funny part in this.
